i’ve had the like recommendation thing blocked by xkit pretty much since it first rolled out so i am always so vaguely terrified and bewildered by some of the things i hear people say about it

I leave it on because i like most of the content it suggests to me, or im indifferent to it

a cooouple of times a while back it gave me straight up porngifs which sucked

but it’s been a while since that happened

and i figured since they turned on safe browsing for everyone, and I didn’t bother to disable it, that i would be safe from this kind of shit 

BUT CURIOUSLY ENOUGH HERE I AM

hi, i'm prepping your all-in-one page for use on one of my sideblogs (url 'aureliawisenri' on /multi-test), and i seem to be running into an issue with the masonry for the tag blocks. i've been fiddling with it it for hours trying to figure out why it's stacking on itself, but i'm not really good enough at jquery to figure out what's amiss. i don't *think* it's anything i've done to it, bc when i went back and checked your preview for it, i discovered that it's doing the same thing :x

i’m not sure why it does it either i’ve also fiddled around with it a lot but for some reason the fix is just clicking on one of the filters then clicking back to all categories. i’m not sure Why it does that honestly i’m sure a better coder out there would know i just mainly do coding as a hobby and am not super literate in it fajdfadf i’m very sorry about that! but yeah it works you just have to click on one of the filters then back to categories and it’ll work fine until you reload the page again. it doesn’t do this with all of my themes that use filters either so i’m honestly not sure but at this point the theme is old enough that i’ve sort of given up on figuring that one out so i totally understand if you’d like to use someone else’s theme that doesn’t have that issue

yeah i'm staying too. i'm really not prepared yet to jump the gun, lmao. i'm going to wait and see what happens before i go running off, especially because i'm super uninterested in any of the alternatives that people have presented.

Pillowfort looks very promising so I’ll probably make one! ╰(・∇・╰) But yeah I’m keeping my tumblr, mostly because it’s good for content aggregation. At most I may move my art blog somewhere.

I do my actual personal blogging/online diary-ing on my own domain, which hosts wordpress, anyway.

oh yeah, same. my parents encouraged my reading but i used to get chewed out @ school by teachers and students alike for reading all the time. to be fair, in the case w/ some of the teachers i was reading during their classes but like… the books were more interesting than they were so that can’t be helped right? :3c

Yeah, I was the youngest in my family by like 6 years to the closest cousin, so I always brought a book to dinner at family gatherings and I was SEVERELY scolded about it (like introvert, ADD, and way too young to care about grown up stuff, & no one wanted to talk about my stuff, so was it any surprise that I brough books??) I did it at home dinner too, and got a “why don’t you talk to us” a lot.

The only plus is when I got into video games and comics, my mom was overjoyed anytime I read a “real” book, so I got a lot more leeway after that lol
