So out of curiosity how do you think TT7 moves in with GD? And who calms down first between Granite/Luca, Hotaruko, and Raito?
This is going to be a long one guys
So my theory (and it really depends on what happens in tonight ep) is that due to Team 7's failures they will be asked to either give up their Digimon to be sold or to be deleted. I think this is an order they will refuse to follow (because if nothing else, they seem to care deeply for their digimon) thus they all, independently, decide to run away and go into hiding. Luca will probably be the first to think to go to GD headquarters mostly because he has no where else to go and he and Reina actually seem friendly with each other in their team up mission. So he just shows up at their door and Reina doesn't even hesitate letting him in despite everything.
Hotaruko might consider going to her mom but ultimately decides that doing so would put her family in danger but also more importantly, it would mean having to admit to her mom that she failed. That everything, every lie was all for nothing and the shame is too great. She can't go home, she can't even give her family money ever again. Makoto finds her outside her family's shop while visiting and mentions that Luca is at GD HQ and she's welcome to come too if she wants. Though she hates having to rely on others she reluctantly goes and when she sees Luca/Granit there he just raises a hand in greeting, no judgement on his face at her being there too. Its the first time the two if them have ever actually sat down and eaten together and its awkward but eventually Reina opens it up with "So are you guys basically criminals now or...?" And Makoto's hisses under his breath like "Reina! You can't say that!" "I wasn't going to turn them in! Not unless the bounty was high enough."
That actually gets a half laugh out of Luca. And Hotaruko kind of relaxes while Makoto and Reina bicker.
Raito meanwhile is too proud to ask for help and too pissed to accept any help from anyone much less GD. I think his Digimon has been reduced to baby form so he's especially powerless, having to live on the streets and fend for himself. I think if GD find him, they'll try to help, but he just angrily lashes out telling them that they can help him by getting lost and giving him his life back. They will ask Hotaruko and Granit/Luca what to do but neither of them really know Raito enough to be any help.
"I didn't even know Granit's real name... and he didn't even know I had a family... we're just a team in name only but we don't really know each other."
Tomoro comes up with the idea of helping without helping. Basically they secretly hide useful items around in places where Raito can find them and make it look like they just 'happened' to have been thrown out or hidden there. Things like a blanket for when it gets cold or a poncho/umbrella when it rains. They hide some food in to-go containers so nothing gets contaminated, or a fishing pole with a line hiding elsewhere.
Raito pretty much caught on immediately and doesn't understand why they are going through all this effort. He assumed that they were only helping to rub in how benevolent they are and have him indebted to him... so why all the sneaking around? Why don't they want him to know they're the ones helping him? Deep down he knows the answer but he doesn't want to admit it because admitting that GD are Good People would mean admitting that he's a Bad Person. And he always knew he was, but it was easy when it was just something he HAD to do. Now though, seeing how GD is, he realizes that he didn't HAVE to be this way, he chose this. He chose to be a terrible person. And now he's rightfully paying for it.
It won't be until Granit and Hotaruko find him and talk to him that he'll go to GD headquarters. Hotaruko understanding his pride at wanting to make it on his own and Granit/Luca understanding his self loathing/guilt. They would tell him that they can start over, learn about each other, be a real team. And Raito would go with them.
