Just made this today! Some of the sketches I posted last month belonged to this larger sketch page. So I decided to post the whole thing! Ashima has one too! But it's a bit old and I need to redo some aspects of it. Particularly the wings.

Decided to post some new Dragon AU sketches!

1: My concept design for Bear. I'm super happy with this one. I used some new techniques from Disney animation for it. Hopefully all the characters will have this lovely retro looking animation style.

2: My concept design for Rosie. I tried to make her frill look like rose petals. I thought it would be cute.

3: My concept sketches for Thomas, James, Edward, and Gordon's wings. Edward's wing patterns are based off moon moths.

It's the big blue guy! :D I had this idea I was playing around with. I thought maybe he could have a cool cape or something. We'll have to see if it makes it into the final project.

Douglas as a dragon

@gronkgal I am so sorry man. I really wanted to draw them being more active but I wasn't feeling well and this was my first time drawing them.😭 I hope you like these concept designs regardless. I worked really hard to get them to look right. (I think 3 days tops. Oof. Lol.)

Basically, they're polar sea dragons! They lived off the coast of Scotland before coming to Sodor. They have characteristics of both ice and water dragons. I based them off narwhals, orca, seals, and polar bears. The ultimate snow beasts. Haha!
