So, in the original railways series. There are technically three controllers. All are titles, Sir Topem Hat.

I think it's appropriate to see what they would look like if they were engines, eh?

Sir Topham Hatt, 1st Baronet - A small engine would be fitting for him since he isn't a fan of the bigger engines like a tank or coffee pot engine

Sir Topem hat the 2nd: A black 5 or any big tender engine

Sir Topem hat 3rd: A diesel engine or an electric tram or steam

Bonus AEG Sir Topem Hat: Tank or Black 5, I only saw a little of AEG, but I feel he would be over joy being an engine's since the movement isn't limiting compared to the book/Og TV show he just need to mind his strength.

Man to Engine

The story is that both controllers of northern railways suddenly became engines. With no knowledge of how to change back Decide to keep it a secret in hope they figure out how until then, they now live their lives with their engine, but controlling over the railway isn't the same a riding among it rails ( Please note this is mostly from the tv series)

Bertrem the Stanier black 5 aka Sir Topem Hat: When he turned into an engine, he'd definitely freaked out. Especially since he's a lot bigger than he ever was as a human.

But once he calmed down, he looked at things from a logical standpoint and used the opportunity to work with his engine he is strict but funny and fair. He cares for his engines like his own kids. Normally, he's also their authority figure, but the engine see him as a bossy boiler. Regardless, He doesn't stand bullies and is more willing to face anyone if anything happens to his engines

He can be forgetful at times if not a bit hasty, but he knows better than to cause confusion and delay

Peregrine the narrow gauge engine, aka Mr. Percival: When he woke up, he was literally screaming. because he was blind as a bat and can't feel his arms. It wasn't until Sir handel found him in an abandoned shed. Once he's calmed down and realized that he became an engine, well, he was pretty hesitant but willing to work. He is a lot like sir topem hat As he also see the engines as his sons. But he remains Stern and focuses on the job ahead, yet he is worried about who is taking his place at the moment.

Question, if Sir Topham Hatt and Mr Percival are locomotives, the other two controllers (fergus duncan and sir Robert Norramby) What locomotives would they be, would they form a small group of four locomotives?

Good question. Respectively. They would be the class of engines in their respective railway as for what type

And for Sir Robert Norramby, maybe a British 2-4-0

But at the current moment, they are still human

General Headcanon about engines

All Engine can turn/open their smoke boxs/faces It isn't wrong but they just don't do it

The engines are like (Irons) horses they can move one thier own. The driver and firemen are the tamer to keep them troubled and do their job

Theys can get easily bored If they're not working but sometimes they can get bored when they are working

They can eat, but it isn't necessary. But they do like a treat every now and then

All engines are multilingual

Bertrem and Peregrine general Headcanon

When they found out that they we're called the fat and thin controller, respectively They We're puzzle On one side of the buffer, it could have been insult, but the way how they use it it more of lines respect. Also, they'll never call that in front of them as humans

The habits of being their controller never really faded away. They are their engines. However, being direct doesn't always work At best they get to be called a bossy boiler ,at worst they might get a prank

Their whistle are described to be odd as big as Bertrem is the whistle sound like a low Guards whistle, and Peregrine whistle is soft hissing off a tea kettle

They don't remember how they became Engines They don't even remember how they got to those abandoned sheds It's all just Pretty's fuzzy for now

Fortunately for them, they have helped for Peregrine it, Sir Handle, and for Bertrem it, Edward both try their best to help their newest engines on the island

They gonna learn more about their (fellow) Engines in ways they didn't learn as their controller

One: Every crew member, people, and animals in his view are os tiny like really small he felt like he had to look down even three seconds or so,he won't run anyone over if they on the Rails even vehicles he once ride in are small in comparison

Two: Now big as his Steam team, talking to face to face is easier without straining his neck or being on a platform, though he sees that Thomas and Percy are the smallest of the group which should be expected.

Figuratively

One: As they're boss and railway controller, it's no secret that what he says goes. But now that he's a train like them, especially since they saw him as a newbie ( in many ways, they're right) He still falls under the same habits. Although their reactions are not the same.

Two: He has control his own body. Since the train Have shown to move on their own but for work they normally have a driver and a fireman. Sure, there are some times when he isn't in control. But for work, it with the crew that he was given. ( They're very nice chaps)
