The Silver Pathogen:
So. What is this weird ass disease that happens to be similar of the Metal Virus from the IDW Sonic Comics?
First off. Lady did not create this. No matter how many hijinks she likes to cause for her own amusement on the island of Sodor, purposefully creating an ailment that could kill and harm them is NOT one of them.
It was an unprecedented and shocking discovery from Spencer.
When first discovered, it was this shapeless silvery and gooey blob that appeared to be consisted of silver and an unknown flesh material. Upon contact, it exploded into a million pieces instantly. Bright silvery liquid splattered all over Spencer and he quickly became the first Alloy.
The Alloys are a term used to refer to any Gold Dust Life Form infected with the Silver Pathogen. Contact with an Alloy or with the Silver Pathogen causes the victim to be instantly covered in metallic goo before violently mutating.
Most of the Alloys' appearances are based off of their most dangerous flaws and their untamed desires. Their behavior is not well-researched yet, since the pathogen is recent. But some accounts from survivors have labelled them as mindless and wild animals. With no impulse control and willing to attack everything that moves.
The Silver Pathogen is wide-spread and highly contiguous. Total immunity be damned. The Silver Pathogen does not give two fucks about the material you're made of.
HOWEVER: There has been new information of dealing with the Silver Pathogen and the Alloys. Silver is extremely malleable and ductile. Great for changing forms, slipping through narrow cracks and having high flexibility. Not so great for durability. Adding onto this, most Alloys are either glass cannon speedsters or silent ambush predators. They don't fare well in facing a highly physical fight.
