Oliver, Toad, Donald and Douglas have all had threats of potential or near scrapping, so while they don't outright hate their places of origin, they don't view it in the same ray of light of "perfection" like Duck, who arrived to Sodor before the mass withdrawal and scrapping of steam locomotives and dieselisation on the mainland so in a way, he's kind of ignorant about it.
Basically, Duck just has a hard time believing his beloved GWR is more morally grey than outright good and it's taking a lot for him to process it /j
Also, Duck is horrible with his wording sometimes, he just sometimes says the wrong things at the wrong time (Duck and the Diesel as an example, seriously, what was basically responding to lies and accusations with "I wish that I thought of those insults for those big engines first" meant to do for your case?? Certainly not helping 😭)
