💛 for 4 random headcanons of our muse’s relationship 

~ Rukia recognizes right away that her captain is distinctly different than the other captains in the 13 court guard squads. Ukitake doesn’t treat his squad members like underlings and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his squad members - stark contrast to what she is used to growing up or even in the Kuchiki house in the beginning. 

~ After Kaien’s death, I believe Ukitake was worried about Rukia because she just shut down. Kaien was literally the last person Rukia let get close to her until she met Ichigo years later. I believe Ukitake probably attempted to get Rukia to open up to him and when she resisted (very politely) he didn’t press the issue. I do think he tried to convince Byakuya to intervene which ... didn’t go anywhere at the time. 

~ Rukia learns from Ukitake that true strength isn’t necessarily as loud or obvious like Kenpachi for example. Her captain is very strong and yet probably has one of the weakest constitutions among the captains. She doesn’t take anyone at pure face value because of this. 

~After meeting Ichigo and the Soul Society arc, I believe Rukia slowly began to let her relationship with Captain Ukitake grow a bit, especially after becoming his lieutenant. She would have taken the position very seriously - considering it was Kaien’s position, and done everything she could to emulate the way Kaien’s took care of the squad for him. When Ukitake presented her with the position, I believe they both felt a great deal of emotion.

SO Ichigo and Rukia are discussing the dances and such at the wedding. BUT WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE! We need our fellow rp-ers to help us out! We need YOU! I’ll make a list of who we need :) These characters will all have specific roles in the wedding. Don’t worry, nothing too crazy…just necessary little things.

❀ On hair advice and sake

It was an exceptionally warm January day, one that had the voluptuous vice captain of the tenth happy enough to venture outdoors and go out for a walk. She never was fond of the winter cold and usually tried her best to stay indoors during the harsh, unfriendly season. However, every so often, when it grew warm like today, she'd take it upon herself to stretch her legs and visit some friends.

But before she could leave, her captain had caught her and shoved a pile of paperwork in her arms and with a familiar, unamused grunt, said. "Take those to Ukitake and be back soon after."

Matsumoto blinked at the folders and with a quick nod, turned and went on her way towards the thirteenth barracks hardly intending to return as soon as was expected of her. Once she reached the offices of the ailing captain, the vice captain paused for a moment before she finally knocked on his wooden sliding door. No response. She then promptly slid the door open a bit and popped her head from behind it, hoping not to find anything too alarming.
