Today, 2nd of May, in 1536 Queen Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII was arrested on fabricated charges of adultery, treason and witchcraft.

She was a strong, modern, hight spirited woman, and yet a not perfect one. She fought all her life, for herself, her station, her freedom, her marriage, her child, her faith, her beliefs, in a society where a woman was not supposed to think or to speak for herself and yes, ultimately she lost everything, but her memory still lives.

Hey! Regarding TudorNerds month - can we post historical fiction book reviews?
I hesitate to be too strict about what you’re “allowed” to post, since this is all about you guys. The tag is to do with what you will. At the same time, though, the content I will reblog will be more to do with personal reflections/experiences, rather than book/movie/TV show recommendations, etc. So a review is more like, “how Wolf Hall inspired me to research Thomas Cromwell,” rather than “here’s a summary of Wolf Hall and the reasons why people should read it.” Make sense? As I said, though, go crazy in the tag; post whatever (within reason) you want.
