Winters/Nixon

Who gets excited about Halloween in July:

nixon tbh like let’s get real here if he had a tumblr he’d probably be the guy who got his “2spoopy” url and changed to it in like….not even july but june okay he starts his halloween countdown on new year’s

Who starts wearing sweaters and scarves on the first day of September and completely overheats:

nix and it’s not bc he hates it when it’s cold it’s bc he is way too excited for the fall/winter season to start so on the first of september he has his favorite sweater/scarf combo on and winters is like “buddy it’s gonna be 80 degrees (F) today” and nix just screams “no IT’S NOT IT’S FALL”

Who thrives in Fall/Who prefers Summer and warm weather:

so I think we can glean from that top two that nix is very much a fall/cold weather type of guy and winters is oppositely a sunny/warm weather/summer type dude

winters gets very cold very easily and so out of necessity he has to wear like a million sweaters if he doesn’t want to absolutely stop the blood flow in his body and occasionally he has to borrow one of nix’s to wear over his

so nix doesn’t mind the cold at all, loves it in fact bc he can’t stand sweating in the summer months, but sometimes he really doesn’t think it would be too much to ask for the cold weather to not make his tile freezing cold in the morning, like is that really unreasonable?

in retaliation of “gross I can’t believe you like to sweat so much” winters often presses his feet against nix’s legs when he’s really cold and he goes “this is the alternative do you really want this over sweating I don’t think so”

Who makes the hot cider to snuggle under a blanket and drink:

nix always feels better about having to walk down the cold tile floor in the morning so dick often brings him a warm cup of cider/coffee/etc (anything hot really) so at least his insides are warmed up before he has to make the trek

so nix really likes carving pumpkins right, and dick thinks it’s incredible cute how excited he gets when it comes time for that but he doesn’t have the best handle on the knife and sometimes he’s so pressed for time bc he has so many ideas to finish and not enough hours in the day that the lines sometimes get more jagged than they should be

Who thinks pulling the pumpkin guts out with their hands is icky:

anything involving halloween is nix’s favorite activity tbh like if you asked him he’d have to make a comprehensive list but together they really like decorating the outside of the house the day of halloween

Who gets scared when they watch Horror movies:

winters doesn’t exactly get scared per se, but sometimes when nix shows him a new one he can tell when nix expects him to react so he jumps a little

Who hands out candy to trick-or-treaters:

nix is 100% entirely too busy with his horror movie marathon to even notice the doorbell ringing, let alone dick getting off the couch to go hand out candy

Who accidentally scares the kids:

probably winters is handing out candy and nix comes up behind him unexpectedly and the little ones are all like “ahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

What is the best Halloween they ever had:

one time luz turned his entire house into a haunted house and it was actually really fun helping him set up and scaring the neighborhood teenagers that had frequently stolen yard tools from their front yards

What is the worst Halloween they ever had:

there was a year when luz decided to cook this huge fancy dinner for everyone (”it’s halloween not thanksgiving dude what are you doing” -quote joe liebgott upon arrival) and it ended up with him setting the kitchen counter on fire? it wasn’t awful in all honesty but watching luz get chewed out by firemen wasn’t exactly anyone’s favorite way to spend halloween

nix thought it was hilarious and dick had to walk him out into the backyard bc one of the firemen was giving him a major side eye

Who eats too much candy and ends up sick the next day:
