Hello Car Friends, I have no photo of this but I'm hoping you can help. I saw a teeny tiny truck on the highway yesterday (USA) that looked like a prettier cousin of a Subaru Baja (my favorite car in the world). What could it have possibly been? It was white, four-doored, half size truck bed, short/low rider, possibly a Ford but it was going too fast to see.
Do you consider the Subaru Baja itself to be teeny tiny?
If so, @spooky-fubuki suggests the 2021-present Ford Maverick...
...the 2001-2004 crew cab version of the second generation Chevrolet S-10...
...and the 2001-2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac...
...and @brick-enthusiast suggests the 2021-present Hyundai Santa Cruz.
Was it an older vehicle? If so, @brick-enthusiast also suggests the 1980-1988 Chevrolet LUV, sold elsewhere as the Isuzu Faster seen here in red since photos of this model are very few and far between.
Was this near a border? If near the Mexican one, it may be a vehicle sold in Mexico - @notyouiguess suggests the 2020-present Fiat Strada, sold as RAM 700 there.
If near the Canadian one, it could have been a vehicle 15 years or older imported from another country - the American law only allows importing vehicles upon them turning 25.
Did it resemble a conventional truck, was it more similar to a sedan bodystyle like @tumblehcendrum's suggestion of the 2004-2007 Holden Crewman...
...(currently under the 25 year old threshold, though as noted by blog counterpart @things-about-cars-in-posts in a post explaining the origin and definition of this body style, known as 'ute', at least one has been seen in the US featuring parts from the Pontiac GTO, stateside edition of the Holden Monaro the Crewman was based on)...
...or not really close to either, like his other suggestions of the 2000-2001 Toyota bB Open Deck...
...and the Daihatsu Hijet Deck Van?
Are you up for a joke suggestion? If so, @demonessss brings this up.
Even if none of these were it, answering the above questions, noting similarities and differences with the above suggestions and which were closest and farthest should significantly narrow the search down!
