Falling out of love is scary because it is then that you experience a possibility of what you once thought was impossible, and then you realize, hey..! if that has been the only thing I thought I was looking for my entire life…and I then thought I found and couldn’t live without..if that has been the only thing I admired day after day, thought about as my eyelids parted every morning, as they met again very late at night, and every time else in between.. if I stopped time for it and drowned in its being.. how could I, for not the greatest reason, fall out of love with it? What would you do?..If the person didn’t change but what changed is your feelings towards them because maybe just maybe they were absent, cold and unpredictable. You wake up one day and you’re just not thinking about them, you’re back to thinking about the littlest things that you have blocked for so long to accomodate the bigger thought of them. It just happens like that, they escape your mind and heart gently.. while still, they’re still the same person. So what really did change? Your judgment. How do you then carry on loving after that? How do you know who is the one then if the only person you thought was your perfect match you now see as no match. “What was I thinking?,” you think to yourself. Or are you just trying to convince yourself that you’re not meant for each other to justify the unwanted feelings you had, to get rid of those haunting thoughts and find mental and emotional clarity? Well done! You have succeeded in convincing yourself that you were not meant for each other just as much as you had convinced yourself that you were just right for each other. That’s right, “convinced.”  How do you live trusting your judgement…trusting that you’ll find the right person and that you both won’t fall out of love? It’s hard, it’s a battle..and so this makes me think of something else, something bigger than all of this. Something that you can never fear of falling in and out of love of, at least from its side, and that’s divine love. That’s the love I choose to seek and keep.
