Havana Rose Liu as Rosie in Tuner (2025)
Tuner (2025) dir. Daniel Roher What was it you were playing yesterday? Something that I'm writing. Sounded good. Just good? Thank you. So kind. You into Mussorgsky? Yes. Pictures from an Exhibition is an inspiration. I heard it. Ravel too. So, you're saying my piece is derivative? Well, the arpeggios are pretty distinct. Fuck off. It's very aggressive, too. You working through some anger in this? I mean, it's a eulogy, so... Sorry.
went to a screening of the movie tuner earlier today after having seen the trailer earlier in the year and i honestly really loved it? love a heist movie, love a story where the main character has a very specific job (he's a piano tuner, hence the title), excellent cast, 10/10 editing and sound design, beautiful music. i was a little worried that the main character being highly sensitive to loud noises might be used as a quirky character beat ("this guy has a job that's all about listening to things but he hates noise! so weird!") but i appreciated that it depicts his hyperacusis as a genuinely disability that's seriously impacted his life and which he has learned methods of coping with. also, havana rose liu is the most beautiful woman in existence.
