Where is mama/where is daddy/whos that ninjah layin in the alley/we scrap and fight to dull the pain/of wasted dreams and sugar veins/cheated/berated mis understood and devastated/misappropriated/ undereducated/swappin pencils for guns/purple and green smoke fill they lungs/pants hang low/dreads hang low/thoughts and actions ghetto/its all they want us to see/lives gone down in misery/But I see God and I see Kings/ reshaping trauma/making scenes/turning tragedy to Happenings/frowns and tears to smiles and cheers/floating on handmade clouds/happy feet stomping grounds/honoring the recent dead/dancing where they cousin bled/no shots today ringing out/ turf feinz wildin' out/in my city/oakland streets/a crowd emerges for relief

Turf Dance - Turfing 

T.U.R.F for Taking Up Room on the Floor 

A Street Dance that finds its origins in the 60s, becoming more precise in the 90s to emerge really in 2002 with Jeriel Bey creating his group "the Architeckz" to promote a healthiest lifestyle through the dance. 

Turf dancing is telling a story. It is made of improvisation, creating optical illusions, and using some elements like popping and locking but also having its own code and movements like "the two step", "the stutter walk" etc.
