An instructional PDF on the alternative process photography method Turmeric Anthotype.
This is a really cool video explaining how to use turmeric to make some sun prints! She goes step by step and the results are gorgeous!
The wrinkled part of the paper ended up looking like a background element. Maybe a boulder or tree roots? I always feel lucky when I encounter the fabled “happy accident.”
My first attempt at a turmeric anthotype. I washed it in baking soda to get the rusty red color. It's fadded pretty badly even in my house so I think that I need keep experimenting but it was a great start! I got the line art by drawing on acetate with a technical pen based on a sketch from my sketch book.
Some turmeric anthotypes, these were fun to do and see the results of 😆
