With Barbara Stanwyck, one of my favorite actresses up there with Bette Davis. I love all pre-code films from the 30’s, but this is one of my favourites.

‘Favourite Movies’ with Actually Huizenga

LA-based singer and video artist Actually Huizenga thinks that more is more, watch her videos or her list below and you will understand… She will show two videos at “Turn Around Bright Eyes” in Berlin in October, if you are not in the area, watch all her productions on her Vimeo channel - beware of the adult content. Actually is a bit of rebel and she rejected the idea of picking five movie, so we went with the flow, quadruple movie tip portion ahead spread across a few parts, fasten your seat belts.

1) American Psycho by Mary Harron, 2000

An amazing movie on all levels; I think it made me want to be a filmmaker. Great soundtrack, too.

2) Orlando by Sally Potter, 1992

Also another woman director, like American Psycho! and it made me want to make films. Just realized the connection. Cool!

3) Blade Runner by Ridley Scott, 1982 

Obviously.

4) Caligula by Tinto Brass, 1979

I saw this when I was 6 (my mom thought it was a history film). Changed me forever…for the better.

5) Wild at Heart by David Lynch, 1990 

If I’m feeling sad and horny and need more Nicolas Cage  - love anything David Lynch, obvs.
