Days Eleven and Twelve: Turnip and Risa

Turnip @ Kaya: Is that human your trainer? I've never met a trainer before. What's it like? What do you do together?

"Having a Trainer is like having someone looking out for you at every step of the way. It's...hard to describe..." She looks off into the distance, almost as if looking right in the same direction that Nora is waiting.

"Mo--er...my Trainer and the rest of us were some of the toughest around, winning battles and prestige and all that. But something made Mom decide to stop fighting and we all took a break after that...Now we just help her out with Ranger duties, not that we mind it of course."

She pauses, blinking once before turning her attention back to the small Deerling. "I would say it's like having a best friend, a parent, an experienced fighter, and a cheerleader all wrapped up into a single package. Mom...Nora...she's pretty amazing."

With the news that came out about someone who used to be a staple in this community and someone who i used to consider a very close friend, I wanted to draw some veteran(tm) pokeask positivity and formally state that me and my blogs have always been and always will be supportive of and welcoming of LGBT+ people and POC, and I do not tolerate any kind of homophobia, transphobia, "gender criticism", racism, anti-Blackess, ableism, acephobia, etc! I will call it out when I see it.

That said, there are so many good and wonderful people in the pokeask, pokemon, and furry communities here, on Twitter, and elsewhere! Please be kind and support your friends and creators who are kind and respectful to others.
