(Believe it or not, I’m still kind of around. There’s been a lot going on IRL and I just simply haven’t had the time to do askblogging or anything like that, but everything’s still on my mind.

[I’m still around, I promise! I’ve been very busy with work stuff and so I haven’t had as much time as I want to draw and work on this. Plus, working with a few friends on ironing out plot points and the like, so I’ll have a cohesive plot to show you all when I get back in the swing of things!]

Some Kaya. Work’s been super busy, so I haven’t had enough time to work on everything that I want to. Still working on a few updates but unfortunately don’t have a timetable yet!

An upcoming character named Phoebe! She works at an Oversight Committee that Nora is going to have to deal with for [a reason].
Suggestions for her two Pokemon? She's not a Trainer, so she doesn't really do battles or anything.
Might do more of these OOC posts to keep myself active with this! I have a lot of ideas, but not a lot of time at the moment >.>
(ooc) Goodness! I hate to hear how bored you've been. That's always the worst feeling. What do you normally do when your shifts get busy? Do any dangers arise frequently around here?
"Normally a daily shift would be reading the reports from the night before...if there are any...then going on patrol a few times, which is just a circuit of the Forest, checking for anyone doing anything they aren't supposed to do." Nora heaves a sigh. "As for danger? The worst we have is an angry Pokemon, but they've never bothered me at all..."
A noise from the forest cut her off, catching her attention as something zipped towards her from the trees.
Nora grins, tightening the belt of Pokeballs around her waist, a look of determination on her face. "Let's go, then."

Nora frowns at the question, seeming to not have fully considered it. The Rangers take from all walks of life, and all qualifications too. She was picked for her prowess with handling Wild Pokemon and dealing with the occasional person who thought that the "No-Catch Zones" of the forest applied to them.
If the question was about her full case of gym badges, she considers that to be in the past, a relic of a time long before if she was feeling poetic. Her qualifications in that sense were in spades, a top Trainer that could have gone through the League if she had wanted to. But that was another matter entirely. Thinking about Gym Badges in adulthood was like earning a varsity letter in high school. They don't really mean all too much other than being a cool story to tell someone.

"Oh yes we certainly do! Please, follow me."
The Claydol floats out from behind his desk, and quickly goes over to the sea of bookcases that litter the store floor. As he floats to the spot he is looking for, he makes sure to open an eye behind his head to check if the Lucario is still following him.
Soon enough, they arrive at a bookcase with a sign titled "Pokemon Biology and Evolution." Paige’s open eyes begin to blur while they scan the several titles before him. He finally reaches over and grabs one off the shelf before looking back at his customer.
"I'm not sure if you're looking for anything more specific, though judging by your mega stone I'm wondering if a book that is more focused on that subject will help you more with your research. We have a decent selection, so don't be afraid to skim through the books to find what you need. If you need any further help just holler our my name!"
The Claydol begins to float away before stopping abruptly, and going back to the Lucario with a sheepish look on his face.
"Ooh, I'm so sorry. I just realized you aren't a local...my name is Paige Booker by the way! We have some rules here in the shop. These books are free to read while you are in the lounge, you can even take notes if it's for research like this one; we have plenty of free stationary around the shop if needed! However, if you want to take the book home you will have to pay a fee. Buying a book outright costs the total amount, but if you want to borrow it for a couple days it'll cost 2 gold per day. Once your time is up, we have a fool-proof method that returns the book back to the shop. Anyways, that's it, happy reading!"

How is TotK so far? if you can explain it without spoilers :0 (or under read more 👀)
I'm really loving it so far! It's a fresh take on the open world exploration kind of game and I love the fact that there's something to do around every corner.
That being said, also the most fun part of it is finding new ways to advance the Korok Space Program. I've launched so many of those poor things to their doom.
Also I don't know what the story is because I haven't touched it yet. I've been playing for like 10-15 hours and zero story interaction...
Munday: Do you have a show or video game you've been really into lately?
Hmm...Game wise I've been doing a lot of roguelikes, because I haven't had the attention span to play anything else. Tears of the Kingdom is taking up a lot of mental real estate too in the games department.
Show wise, I just caught up with a few anime that I've been wanting to watch, and past that it's just a lot of junk reality TV that I can have on in the background for noise.

Turnip @ Kaya: Is that human your trainer? I've never met a trainer before. What's it like? What do you do together?
"Having a Trainer is like having someone looking out for you at every step of the way. It's...hard to describe..." She looks off into the distance, almost as if looking right in the same direction that Nora is waiting.
"Mo--er...my Trainer and the rest of us were some of the toughest around, winning battles and prestige and all that. But something made Mom decide to stop fighting and we all took a break after that...Now we just help her out with Ranger duties, not that we mind it of course."
She pauses, blinking once before turning her attention back to the small Deerling. "I would say it's like having a best friend, a parent, an experienced fighter, and a cheerleader all wrapped up into a single package. Mom...Nora...she's pretty amazing."
