(Believe it or not, I’m still kind of around. There’s been a lot going on IRL and I just simply haven’t had the time to do askblogging or anything like that, but everything’s still on my mind.

Here’s a bit of teaser/lore stuff for Mochi and Mega Evolution that I just never got to, so enjoy!)

"Oh yes we certainly do! Please, follow me."

The Claydol floats out from behind his desk, and quickly goes over to the sea of bookcases that litter the store floor. As he floats to the spot he is looking for, he makes sure to open an eye behind his head to check if the Lucario is still following him.

Soon enough, they arrive at a bookcase with a sign titled "Pokemon Biology and Evolution." Paige’s open eyes begin to blur while they scan the several titles before him. He finally reaches over and grabs one off the shelf before looking back at his customer.

"I'm not sure if you're looking for anything more specific, though judging by your mega stone I'm wondering if a book that is more focused on that subject will help you more with your research. We have a decent selection, so don't be afraid to skim through the books to find what you need. If you need any further help just holler our my name!"

The Claydol begins to float away before stopping abruptly, and going back to the Lucario with a sheepish look on his face.

"Ooh, I'm so sorry. I just realized you aren't a local...my name is Paige Booker by the way! We have some rules here in the shop. These books are free to read while you are in the lounge, you can even take notes if it's for research like this one; we have plenty of free stationary around the shop if needed! However, if you want to take the book home you will have to pay a fee. Buying a book outright costs the total amount, but if you want to borrow it for a couple days it'll cost 2 gold per day. Once your time is up, we have a fool-proof method that returns the book back to the shop. Anyways, that's it, happy reading!"

So what are youse twose connections 👀 Is this more of a knight and prince thing or a blood relation thing? Maria seems important in some way at least, to be tasked to supervise young royalty

“As Prince has said before, he is not of any royal blood, though... the Matan family is quite well-known and established in this Region. Comparable, but it is not the same."

Maria glances to the Sprigatito, who lets out a faint snore. By the looks of it, he's fallen asleep. The Umbreon gives him a gentle, caring nudge with her head. She is not quite as peppy as before, but she still has the same soft look in her eyes when glancing at Prince.

Maria: ".. I am one of Prince's... 'caretakers' hired by the Matan family. As such, we are not related by blood at all. Nevertheless, many of us 'caretakers' work for the Matan family, and we take an oath to ensure nothing but the very best for the children we watch. We make sure they grow to fit the family's standards. Though, under Prince's circumstance, the standards are much lower..."

“I see that my connection with Prince is a bit of a hot topic between others... But, yes. This goes beyond any oath or obligation made with his family. If it were not for us, Prince would have no one. I make sure he has someone that believes in him, no matter what."

Maria: "His parents are always busy and pass him off to us, anyway. As I see it, they care little for him. It is not my place to be so emotional about such a thing, but..."

The Umbreon trails off. She searches for the right words. It takes but a few moments before she finds them, ready to continue her journey into the night.

Maria: "I will do what is necessary to protect him. From anything. Regardless of whatever the family thinks, he deserves to be happy."

[I’m still around, I promise! I’ve been very busy with work stuff and so I haven’t had as much time as I want to draw and work on this. Plus, working with a few friends on ironing out plot points and the like, so I’ll have a cohesive plot to show you all when I get back in the swing of things!]

Working with the Sinnoh Pokemon Ranger Service for two years.

As a recruit she showed massive potential in multiple fields, utilizing her team to great effectiveness. Battle proficiency has lead her to be assigned towards more challenging cases of poaching and illegal battling within protected areas.

[Kaya] walks past you, letting you know that the sign that always topples over outside of the station has, once again, toppled over. You really need to fix that before it becomes a problem.

There. All fixed up now. Anyone walking by can now see that the Ranger Station is open and has been all day. But now they really can tell that it’s open. You only have a few hours before the end of your shift today, perhaps you’ll get lucky and the time will go by fast.
