30 Day Kaiju Challenge; Day 3; Multiple Heads

Name: Nasodyne

Age: In the thousands of years

Length: 75 meters

Description: One of the Four Guardians, Nasodyne is one of the few monsters that has developed polycephaly. Two large heads extend out from the hard shell, looking like those of a Leatherback Sea turtle. Its upper limbs are large fins, while the back legs are actual legs with four toes. A small tail with a rocky club sticks out behind, with a shell covering the rest. It’s rocky like texture and various foliages growing on it has earned Nasodyne the reputation of “The Living Island”

Abilities

-          Scalding Sea Spray:  Both heads can unleash a spray of scalding condensed water, either focusing it into a condensed beam or out as a cloud of boiling spray.

-          Retractable Limbs: All the limbs can retract into the shell, resulting in a nearly uncrack able shell as a defense.

-          Tidal Slam: As Guardian of the Waters, Nasodyne can eject an entire tidal wave out of his body to slam outwards, either creating more places to swim or to knock back enemies with the force of a tsunami.

Weaknesses

-          Limb Tradeoff: With the front limbs being flipper like structures, Nasodyne doesn’t travel on land at all, being restricted to the water.

-          Bickering Heads: The two heads of Nasodyne don’t always get along, and occasionally fight each other.

Backstory: In the First Age of the Supernatural, there were four guardian beasts that protected the elements and the balance of nature in the world. Onca of the Earth, Izulu of the Wind, Naga of the Fire, and Nasodyne of the Waters. While little exists of the legends, Nasodyne returned to the world in a storm with the appearance of a mysterious island in the middle of the San Fransico Bay. It was quickly surrounded by military ships and news reporters, who were watching it with interest. Their curiosity was replaced by fear as a head emerged from beneath the waves, and shock as a second emerged. The two heads looked around, moving from ship to ship. They did little, but with the appearance of anti-weaponry vehicles on land, grew restless. It shot spray out towards the ships, slamming them away. It became antagonizied, flipping the ships with a quick turnaround into the lower areas of the city and cutting the Golden Gate Bridge with condensed streams of the spray before escaping back into the open ocean. From there, mankind has watched with relative peace, choosing not to attack or get close unless deemed necessary.

How They Interact with Other Kaiju: Nasodyne tends to be friendly, often investigating curiously with both heads at the signs of a newcomer. It takes attacks to go and rile him up, and most kaiju are at a friendly or a peaceful level with this leviathan.

While this may technically be cheating, Nasodyne has actually been in the works for some time. Part of a Guardians arc for either Koga or Gadashin, he was planned to be a multi headed turtle, and as he was unfinished, fit the slot well. The others may fit in here if needed.
