A coin for a painting.

Made a turtlesona btw… i guess

Here is Lucas(one of many names) a walking turtle puppet that paints. Only thing he wants to do is paint and chase shadows, but they would appreciate a coin here or there.

Despite being made completely of wood, he really likes fire and often confuses it for shiny things they could take. Still doesn’t like water tho.. will run away if they sense water or people nearby. Especially loud people.

in the process of trying to get my Instagram up to date with all my old art (for archival purposes lol) I realised I don’t think I ever posted this to tumblr?? So I’m now fixing this most egregious error, please forgive me 😭😭

Back in 2023 @saltyspitt00n sent me some pics of leucistic sea turtles and I was ✨i n s p i r e d✨… this is Lucy, the leucistic Green Sea Turtle! (yeah, I wasn’t in a creative names mood…)

She’s tall and she’s beefy! She got that swimmer’s build: broad shoulders and big thighs. Leucistic and albino animals in nature are far more vulnerable to predation than their wild-type (regular coloured) counterparts, and Lucy is no exception: she’s been roughed up and attacked more than her fair share, and has the scars to show it. yes that is a shark bite on her wrist.

She trained herself to fight to defend herself, wielding a bident scavenged from the seabed near an underwater portal to the Hidden City. Neither she nor her weapon have any mystic abilities, but she’s a truly fierce and formidable opponent nonetheless!

This is from a post on the TMNT community a while ago

I've had this idea for a long time, but didn't really had a clear idea on the design, she being a sea turtle

Her palms and feet are flat, makes it easier to swim. Still thinking on what weapon would work... aside from a ninja starfish XD

Not fully convinced on the colors. Tried to imitate the actual species color palette... But looking at her now, idk... Maybe a darker tone?

Thoughts? You guys have a turtlesona?
