Apologies if this is a silly question as I'm still learning how to use photoshop. I love your "Etoile" template but I'm struggling to get the gifs to all play at the same time, could you possibly explain? Thank you! xo
hiya! no question is ever silly! i def still struggle with this from time to time
to make it a little easier for yourself i would suggest making sure your gifs are the same length. (if one is shorter then you'll need to cut down the longer gif)
all you need to do is once you've opened the template in photoshop ensure the timeline is activated (windows > timeline) and in timeline you should see the below screenshot:
you want to open the folder so you're able to see all the content. from there all you need to do is drag each element in the folder to match the length of your gif
i'm super bad at explaining things so i hope this makes some sense! if you need any further help or have any questions please don't hesitate to hmu in im's or sending through another ask :')
hi, could you do a tutorial for the graphics in your rosey carrd? or release a template for them please?
i didn't save them because they were literally made in 2 seconds. use a gradient fill layer set to color blend mode with whatever color scheme you have, white text with black outline and inner shadow and drop shadow goes above the gradient, fill text with white outline and inner shadow goes below the gradient, don't go too crazy on your psd (also below the gradient). adjust text styles listed as necessary depending on the size of your text/image. will also just drop a psd i once again made in 2 seconds lol

hi ina! i hope you don't mind me asking but can you explain how you're able to crop pngs/photos for your themes and still be able to keep the quality? like in the theme you're using right now the png is so small but it's still so hq! >____< ty in advance!
* hi there! i don’t mind at all, so please don’t hesitate to ask. just know that sometimes it might take some time for me to explain cause english is not my first language and i get a little overwhelmed trying to explain myself :) but i’ll try my best to give you a simple, yet detailed, explanation on how i do it.
step 01. the key for high quality pngs is: high quality pictures. i never use images smaller than 500 x 500 pixels cause they tend to look blurry once you sharpen them. i usually go for the biggest pictures i can find, which is pretty easy when using google. if you already know what you’re looking for all you have to do is:
sumin dispatch photoshoot > search tools > size > big (or something like that, just choose the biggest option without putting the exact dimensions if that makes sense?) > copy the picture and paste it on a new ps canvas.
step 02. resizing your images is a super important step. when doing it you don’t want them to distort cause it can lead to them looking, once again, blurry. while selecting the layer of your image you want the transform controls to be visible (example), then you need to click the little square on any top corner of your pictures and, while pressing alt + shift, drag the corner inwards. it will start resizing your picture! just like that, so it’s on you to decide how small or big you want it to be. just know that it’s really important to decide the size or go a little bigger, cause dragging it outwards or making it bigger will kill your pixels. we don’t want that!
step 03. now that you have your desired size it’s time to sharpen. yes, before erasing the background. i do that so the outline of my pngs are super clean and i don’t add unwanted pixels when sharpening. idk if it actually helps in any way but i find that doing it this way is better for me.
step 04. removing the background is the next step. i don’t really have a tutorial or any tricks for this cause i just use the polygonal lasso tool, zoom in on the picture and trace a silhoutte around the body by hand. you can do it however you want!
step 05. and finally all there is to do is add a coloring. but remember to avoid using layers with color opacities or anything like that cause it can leave a grey-ish layer around your png if you’re not careful with it. i have a tutorial somewhere that teaches you how to deal with that problem, so you can use that too!
and that’s pretty much it. i hope you’re able to understand and it’s easy for you!
avidemux (downloads for mac & windows!) - linked in source
photoshop (for part 2)
update 6/6/25: make sure your video output says Mpeg4 AVC (x264)
part two is posted here !
for any questions, please let me know!
a video transcription is below the cut<3
[video transcription] so, this is avidemux, this is what i use to gather my caps for my gifs. i don’t know any other method, all i’ve ever used is the capping method and i find it really, really easy and simple, and it doesn’t, like, overwhelm your photoshop. so, this is what you get when you first open it up.
now, i wanna come over here to “output format” and i want to change this (mkv muxer) to the one right below it (mpeg ts muxer (ff)) and then for configure, we’re gonna open that and unclick that (vbr muxing), change this (mux rate) to 15.
i don’t really know what it does, like, exactly; i know i messed with it when i first got it a couple years ago and it’s just worked really well with my gifs . so that’s what i keep using and that’s what i’m gonna recommend. i don’t touch anything else, it’s just - i never needed to .
up here (top left) we’re going to “open video”. i have a movie here, we’re just going to click it to open it. now we have this scrollbar down here (bottom) that can, like, move really fast through scenes if you have something, like, specific that you know you wanna gif.
or you can use the up arrow. and it kinda jumps frames and stuff, and then the back arrow, obviously, it jumps the same amount of frames (backwards). or if you want something very specific, you can use the right arrow, and it will change, like, 1 by 1 by 1. same with if you go left, it goes backwards.
so what i am going to do is just start here and in order to do that, here’s this little “a” button right here (bottom, below the scrollbar). we’re going to set that. and over here (bottom right) you see that it’s started the capping at this (time) marker.
[my dog barks in background] sorry for my dog, she’s yelling in the back.
so you can either use your keys to move forward or you can just hit the space bar and let it play. [i hit the space bar] and i’m just gonna stop it right there [hit the space bar again].
to get the end of the cap, we’re just gonna press “b” (right next to “a” below scrollbar) and you can see over here (bottom right) that it’s stopped it at this time stamp, too.
what i would recommend is from the start to the end (of the cap), at least 2 seconds. sometimes i do 1, or 1 and a half, depending if it’s like a scene that i really wanna gif or something, but usually 2 seconds difference is good.
and so now that we have this, we’re gonna come up here (top left, besides the “open video”) to the “save video”. sometimes if i’m doing a lot of caps, i’ll just put a number on the end of the title or i’ll just put a number as the “save as”. so it’s going to save as a “.ts file”, make sure it’s on that.
and then you just save it, and that’s it! easy peasy. that’s how i get all of my caps. and then i’ll make another video showing you the photoshop and how to, like, upload them and all the fun stuff. so, yay. [video ends]
to download, select FILE and MAKE A COPY. because this is a tutorial, edit and use the material here as you please. if you have any questions, feel free to contact me via ims or inbox.

Tutorial: Como delinear/traçar textos no Photoshop
Programa de edição: Photoshop CS6 (que eu uso);
Dificuldade: fácil.
Então, vamos lá!
01. Abra o Photoshop, e digite o seu texto.
