‘Boy Meets World’: Trina McGee Opens Up About Why Angela Was Missing From Series Finale Episode Deadline

Trina McGee is opening up about what really happened in the series finale of Boy Meets World and why her character was missing from the episode.McGee portrayed Angela Moore for the last three seasons of the ABC sitcom and during an appearance on the rewatch podcast Pod Meets World, she talked about why she was not in the last episode of the series.“I was told, in kind of a weird off-handed way by a very important person that you guys all went to [showrunner] Michael Jacobs, and you said ‘We don’t want her in the last episode. She’s somehow taking our light.’ That was the gist of it,” McGee said. The character of Angela was Shawn Hunter’s (Rider Strong) love interest and Topanga’s (Danielle Fishel) best friend in college.“I was told that after I shot what was the show before the last episode, which was called ‘Angela’s Ashes’ when I left. When Michael announced we were going to do another show on Angela, I was so happy not realizing this was going to be the show before the last show,” McGee added.McGee said that several of her family members suggested that the reason she was given an episode focused on Angela was to keep her “distracted” and off the episode “with the real ratings.”Will Friedle denied that the cast went to Jacobs to ask to remove McGee from the finale. McGee then replied, “I believe you. I can tell by your reactions. I have had that in my head for so long, and I’ve never watched that show. Stories I’m experiencing: TV-series/movies pt. 1

As my username suggests: I love stories. And I love experiencing them in different ways. I love gaming, I love reading and I’m always down for a movie night or bingwatching a new (or old) TV-series. This is what I’m currently watching. 

!!!!SPOILERS!!!! Check the title of the work I’m talking about and decide whatever you are OK with spoilers. Spoilers won’t be major but if you are planning on playing/watching/reading something and you want to go in blind: be careful. 

- I’m short of always watching Friends. I started re-watching season 5 a while back because my favourite story line is the Chandler/Monica love story. Their relationship is just so fun to watch! Seriously why all the fuss bout Ross and Rachel? Mondler is so much more healthy and real. What make’s them such a good TV-couple (in my opinion) is the friendship between the characters. They are not only in love, they are actually very good friends and buddies. And they have stayed that way during their relationship. I usually hate the (best)friends-to-lovers trope because it tends to ruin great friendships and it gives the impression that (straight) men and women can’t be friends. But in my opinion this is not the case with Mondler. Friends in general is quite good at portraying male and female friendships. So when Monica and Chandler do end up together; it’s doesn’t give off the impression that male and female friendships always have to end in a romantic relationship. Also Monica and Chandler’s friendship is still there and it doesn’t change all that much; the romance only ads another layer to their relationship. One of my favourite moments is from just after their wedding. Because it really shows what an amazing couple they are. The conflict in this scene could easily end in a big fight (and probably would have in Ross and Rachels case) but it doesn’t. See the video below for the scene. Although for the Mondler/Friends fans: “Call it even?” is probably all you need to hear to know what scene I’m talking about. 

- Motherland Fort Salem season 2. Yeah but not really. I love this show (hello Scylla?!) but season 2 isn’t out yet in my country. So I’m patiently sure Jan waiting for the new season to be released here in Europe.
