Update
I was going to write a nice light hearted chapter and add just a touch of drama but here we are. It’s 1:30 in the morning and I’ve written 10 pages of Bamon angst today. Send help.
A little insight on Bonnie Bennett

If you have read the chapter, this is for you. I’ve gotten many PMs and anons asking me about Bonnie and why in the world she was upset with Damon. Some people were very concerned for her as well, in a sense that she is becoming too prudy or not as smart as they’d like her to be.
First of all I would like to remind everyone that this is an AU fic and everything you know about these characters from the show should be left behind. We are not doing that here. I want the characters in this fic to have their own new personalities.
Now, lets move on to Bonnie.
MMAM Bonnie is very different from your average girl. She keeps to herself, she isn’t into anything mainstream and she is very reserved when it comes to feelings. However this in no way means she is prudy or shy. She is a private person who cares a great deal about her family and friends. She is also very insecure when it comes to relationships.
Enter Damon.
She’s starting to fall for him, very much. She feels it, very much. And on top of that, she realizes he is starting to feel the same.
Instant connection. Instant attraction. Sounds perfect, right?
That’s what Bonnie thought as well. Then she found out he had a girlfriend all this time and he told her nothing about it.
The reason Bonnie was so surprised and hurt by the whole thing was exactly that. She was finally ready to open up to someone, something she hasn’t done for so long.She was ready to be vulnerable. She cared for him deeply. She broke her own rules for him and he messed up big time.
On top of that we have Elena. Why wasn’t Bonnie her usual sassy self around her? The girls just got her heart broken and she is getting crap from the one person she is least ready to hear it from. It’s kind of a lot. Now I know all of you rooted for Bonnie and wanted her to go full savage on Elena, but let’s be real here, in real life that wouldn’t have happened.
Most people would choose the high road. Especially someone as intelligent and calm as Bonnie. She doesn’t need to add fuel to the fire. She is too smart to get on Elena’s level and that is something I wanted to showcase in this chapter.
I hope this clears it up.

Chapter 8 sneak peek /Bonnie and Elena
A hot vacation in Cabo? Sipping margaritas on sandy beaches of Costa Rica? Skipping the waiting list at the hottest New York restaurant so she could try the new raspberry soufflé with cognac before anyone else?
Elena seemed to have done it all. She was eager to share it with the rest of her group, apparently.
She had to be one of the most annoying people Bonnie has ever met – and she’s met quite a lot of ‘em.
There was never a time Bonnie wished for Caroline to be there more. She would know exactly what to say and politely shut her up with her witty comebacks. It was times like this that Bonnie wished she was a smartass.
Bonnie was so bad with that stuff she didn’t even recognize the girl even though her face was plastered on every single magazine that existed, or at least that’s what a short Google search beneath the table told her.
Tbh Elena is more like Katherine, but lets keep her as Elena for now, lol. Bonnie is having none of it. NONE OF IT.
I am giving it my all in this chapter, it’s going to be a lot more fun and veeery angsty. If you’re in to tension and love to see your ships suffer in the name of love this one will be a treat for you! *evil laugh*
