finally got a clip that can sit securely & comfortably on my tragus... while my notch seemed to provoke cathartic sobbing or laughter, this one makes me feel... safe? at 300us and 8hz its like being comforted by someone i love.
i think i had it closer to 270us and 10hz a bit ago and it was more like floating on my back in a swimming pool. too low a pulse width seems to give it more of a bittersweet quality, too...

okkk so it seems sometimes my body does instinctive vagus nerve spinal stims to calm down from being panicky. and on the other hand, sometimes it does them to push me through exhausted sedation. having just now recovered from some sorta... i accidentally overexhausted myself with tvns, type of situation, by bobbing my neck around for a little while...
new theory is that what this does is balance my two nervous system drives so that i am simultaneously calm & alert... not good for falling asleep but very useful in other situations... this also lines up with some of my meditative experiences too...
funny observation today is that while my resting pulse is generally much lower it also takes longer to come down... im gonna speculate that it's because i've been generally avoiding overstimulating my vagus nerve today, by avoiding those low power levels that seem to really sensitize me... ive also been seeing less intense fluctuations in being alert vs relaxed and i think fewer sudden turns in the valence of my thought processes too...
taking some of the load off of her with tvns for now... if u can't get enough vagal tone from spine positioning storebought is fine too...
