Black Flag in Italy 1983
From: Dritti Contro Un Muro
tvor was originally a trilogy (and then a more expansive series) and i deflated it down to one book but now i'm debating making it a trilogy again
decided it was once again time to redraw my oldest digital piece !!

working on tvor character stuff is like. this character is an 18-year-old pro wrestler with an attitude problem. this 19 year old is her trust fund rich kid manager. this other 18 year old? twitch streamer. this 22 year old girl is a multiverse-famous acrobat, and also the most powerful being in existence. her best friend works at a maid cafe. here's a handful of former enemies turned weird still slightly evil friends. they all hang out at the beach and get ice cream together.
more thoughts on tvor: i really do think a like, grounded absurdist approach is the way to go? which means i really need to practice pushing things as far as they can go w/o breaking suspension of disbelief. i wish this sort of thing came more easily to me but i really do think it'll be fun once i figure it out.
TVOR musings
Sorry it's been a while! I've been busy. But things should (hopefully) be slowing down for me soon & I want to start making some progress with my WIPs.
I was talking with some friends yesterday about media that we think is bad but still really enjoy, and what makes them enjoyable, and the answer that we landed on was "they're batshit"—and it was like a lightbulb went off.
TVOR is a story I've been writing and rewriting since I was 13, and I have never felt fully satisfied with any version of it. I've tried and tried to rework the lore and story to be good, and I always fall short, and I think I just need to give up on the goal of making it cohesive in any way, and just commit to making it batshit.
Honestly I have no idea what this version of TVOR looks like, but I'm going to put in some thought to it, because I don't want to write something bad necessarily—I'm just setting aside goals of clarity and cohesiveness that I usually associate with good writing and instead trying to capture the buckwild, nonsensical, fun-as-hell energy that all of my favourite least-favourite media properties have.
Wish me luck!
