Teen Wolf finale thoughts.....

This got long.... First off, I actually really liked it a lot. I thought it was better than the 3A finale and better than I was expecting given how Jeff usually effs things up at the end. But, it brought back some stuff from earlier this season (Argent and the silver bullet) and stuff from SEASON 1 (Kate!!!), which was great to see that they haven't just forgotten all this stuff. And now we bullet point...

I was actually really afraid for Melissa and the sheriff and everyone during the Oni raid sequences. I had a feeling someone else was going to die in tonight's episode (which, I was right about that, but more later) and I don't know.... Now that Allison has died (even thought it was Crystal's choice to leave), I feel that has kind of opened a door for any of the other regulars to not be as safe as we thought they were? Like, any of them really could die at this point and it would be valid in the context of the show.

Deaton once again with his random useful knowledge about everything. LOL I was glad that this time there was a reason for him to not offer up information he had about the Nemeton wood because he didn't know the whole story and not just him being a dick and waiting until he was vital to the plot to "fix" things. This does beg the question, do we know why/when the Nemeton got cut down? I can't recall that being addressed in the show, but I may have just forgotten.

I wanna know what void!Stiles did with the Oni/their swords to make them poisonous this time. Cos they haven't been before when they attacked people. Is that something the Oni control or their master? What's the deal there? Anywho....

Derek's status as President of the Scott McCall Fan Club is still firmly in place. I am glad he was able to get the twins to go with him. As much as no one trusts them, they need all the help they can get.

The "Japan" scene was interesting. I love that The Divine Move was "giving up" in a way and that Stiles figured it out. I mean, once you really think about it, it's completely obvious. The nogitsune feeds on chaos, strife, and pain. How do you defeat something like that? By not giving it what it wants (which is why I'm kind of surprised the loft showdown from last week went down the way it did). But, anyway, the figured it out and got free.

THE EPIC BATTLE BETWEEN THE ONI AND FORMER ALPHAS!! I was a little disappointed void!Stiles ducked out and we didn't get an epic smackdown between him and Derek. :-( Cos that would have been awesome.

So, the whole "change the body of the host" thing was turning "Stiles" into a werewolf. I was wondering if that would still work because he wasn't really in a host? He had sort of made his own body to occupy somehow. Or did he keep the original body and Stiles is now new!Stiles? I don't know. But Scott gave him the bite and he died and EVERYONE LIVED!

Except Aiden.... :-( This actually really got to me. Mostly because of Ethan's reaction, I think. I'm a very sympathetic cryer. It's interesting that they killed one of the twins and not both or neither of them. This could mean some interesting things for Ethan, if he decides to come back.

Speaking of.... DANNY KNEW!!!!!!!! HE KNEW THE WHOLE TIME!!! This is all I ever wanted and I think all of fandom's wishes cam true in that little scene. Seriously. Now, I need all the fic and backstory. How long has he known? The whole time? Is his family involved in stuff like this? Did Jackson tell him? I NEED TO KNOW!!!

Apparently, Derek often dreams of being in the Beacon High locker room with Stiles? o_O LOL But, seriously, I cannot believe it's Kate!! That's some crazy ass shit, right there. But what is she? As my friend remarked last night, she looked more na'avi than wolf. LOL WTF is going on?? But, this could be an interesting little wrench in the little bromance Derek and Chris have going on. A new common enemy who is Derek's "ex" and Chris' sister? What to do....

I'm glad Kira is sticking around. I like her and think she's good for Scott. I hope she's able to help him through his grief as a friend before anything more happens between them. That would be nice to see.

Not here for Malia. She can GTFO as far as I'm concerned. Her whole character is just one huge plothole and inconsistency and I cannot deal with it. Unless, they somehow manage to explain how she has the mental capacity of a normal teenager and not an eight year old like she should. But that's not gonna happen, so whatever. Ugh.
