I don’t want your brain. I want your heart.
tw: zombie, gore, blood, decayed organs, death
Ship: Intrulogical (Remus/Logan)
Might finish later on, but I was listening to The Zombie Song. You can continue this if you’d like, but here’s something that came to me.
****
Remus can’t remember when he got separated from his twin, when he got attacked, when he woke up. All he remembers was staring at the sun, people walking around him, and a sudden a burn in his throat when he smelled human flesh nearby. He remembers getting up and feasting on it, and craving more than ever.
As he got up, he noticed he wasn’t as decayed as the others. He was mostly cut, deep bites on his neck and arm, and he was sure he was missing an eye. He also wasn’t as slow as the others, walking as fast as any regular human, and more...sentient, as if to say. He saw all others were more brain dead than him, the only thing he didn’t really feel was shame or remorse.
Now, Remus was walking around as a zombie, eating any human he could find and leaving only scraps behind for others. It was ever man, or every undead man, for themselves. He didn’t have time to worry for others, he needed to feed to be able to function properly so he won’t end up like those other useless shits. His words.
What he didn’t expect was to be walking with a group, trying to find humans, and end up watching some guy killing zombies left and right. He watched with wide eyes, seeing how the blood splattered up and started covering him. It made him feel a certain burning he hadn’t felt in a long time. Was this longing? A craving? He wasn’t sure.
He was sure, however, that he had seen this man before. This man who was shooting down a zombie near his left, double barrel shotgun in his hands. It made him feel that burning intensify more, and he was smiling at him. He must know this man if said person was lowering their gun as he looks toward him, hearing him utter one word.
“Remus?”
Before he knew it, another large group of zombies soon appeared and the man left running before they could catch up and speed off. Remus wanted to find him, he needed to find him. How did he know him? Have they met before? Was it during his human life?
There was one thing Remus wanted, and it wasn’t his brain. That would be last on his list.
What he truly wanted, was his heart.
