And on today´s episode of things that should be obvious, but apparently aren´t: Stiles being upset about his dad, and Scott having fast healing, DOES NOT GIVE STILES THE RIGHT TO USE SCOTT AS A FUCKING PUNCHING BAG!!!!!!!

This "original cast" "original pack" complex this fandom has is so tiring. It's so disrespectful to post a picture of the cast on comic con 2013 and be like "I miss this cast, now it sucks" let me give you some news my friend. Allison is dead. They kill her off because Crystal wanted to leave. (And how hypocrite is this fandom when #killallison was basically a trending topic). Isaac is not there because Daniel wanted to leave. He wanted to leave on 3a, he was on 3b by a miracle. Jackson is not there because Colton wanted to leave. He chose arrow over teen wolf. (Not even mad). The twins aren't in the show anymore because they wanted to leave and be in other show. Tyler wanted to leave and embrace another characters and be in different movies. For him, there's nothing he can't do with Derek anymore. Adelaide Kane (wasn't part of the original cast but people mention her a lot); she left the show because she got a main role with Reign. ALL those characters/actors you want back so much left by their own will, they didn't want to be in the show anymore. Move on. Arden did an audition, she was great. She stayed. Shelley did an audition she was great and she stayed. Little Dylan is great, Khylin is awesome. Victoria is amazing and now Kelsey & Cody as well. I pretty much prefer this new cast because of the girls power and the interactions. Stop complaining about something you can't change and stop denigrating another actor's work because you can get your head around the idea that every show evolves and hire actors to play new characters because trust me; a show with the same characters every season is boring.

this s a post not very nice towards Holland, so under the cut just in case. 

It’s very annoying that every time someone speaks on Holland’s problematic behavior some undercover fans are saying how that is “hating” or “bashing her”. No. That’s setting the facts straight. What Holland’s done is been proven on previews conventions/interviews and came out of her own mouth. I’m sorry if you love to believe your idol is not problematic and loves bashing other people to gain sympathy.

We know Holland’s history with making cissexism/transphobic jokes, racism comments, slut shaming comments, denigrant comments on other countries, disgusting jokes on prison rape. We have pictures of her supporting black face and cultural appropriation.

Apart from that there’s been countless of comments on her being pretty shady on set, the attitude of some members of the cast towards her; specially this last year speaks volumes (she was obviously closer to Colton, Crystal, Ian and since they’re gone she doesn’t have that many people expect for Ryan).

She blamed Dylan’s schedule of TST for not being able to do more roles (her own words), if she wants other roles so bad she can leave like Crystal did (just last year she was talking about how old she was for Lydia), Jeff is known for letting people leave if they want to.

She bashed Jeff and the show countless times and the Paley Fest one was just one of them. She blamed Jeff and the production team for ‘forcing’ her to wear heels because they were part of Lydia’s character, in which Jeff called her out in from of the cast saying “no one’s forcing you to wear heels, Holland!” After that she tried changing her words.

And if you had a good experience with Holland on a con; then good for you! But there’s A LOT of fan experiences where Holland was acting annoyed and disrespectful. Friends who were able to met her before were totally disappointed at her attitude. Don’t try to dismiss everyone else experience because yours was pleasant.

We aren’t bashing Holland while saying this. People should be able to discuss thing that are important (while we base each other on actually facts instated of rumors or just a ship driven hate). I’m sorry if you don’t like you hear the truth.

Long rant that I needed to get off my chest

It’s very frustrating to see lady characters being sucked down in ship wars. It’s downright maddening when it’s for ships where the women are superfluous to the fandom’s personal favorite white boy. And yet with Teen W*lf, as in every other aspect of this fandom, every character seems fanon built to revolve around St/iles Stilinski’s orbit.

There’s absolutely no question I can’t stand the character, even before fandom. I don’t like sarcastic assholes who get away with being assholes because “sarcasm is always funny!”. I don’t like vindictive characters who will punish their friends over perceived slights, and get away with it because “well, they’re that funny asshole.” YMMV, of course, but I’ve disliked Stiles from the get go because I hate his character archetype.

But what pisses me off is that Scott McCall and every main lady on TW has been dragged down because of said asshole. (Not a new frustration, I know.)

Just this weekend I had a conversation with someone who had never watched the show and admitted they thought Stiles was the main character up until a few months ago. More and more I see the women pitted against each other, with people who are tired of one woman being attacked for a ship beginning to pick apart the other woman, and not the fact that fandom treats both ladies abysmally in their ship with Stiles.

More and more I see those ugly sentiments that led the #KillAllison movement begin to creep in on fans who have never seemed inclined to give those amounts of misogyny any credence.

All for a paranoid asshole.

The thousands of pages of meta I’ve seen revolving around Stiles will analyze him down to how he grips the steering wheel of his Jeep (And I’m not even touching on the racist bullshit of Blue Jeeps Matter), yet the women and Scott rarely get the same level of analysis outside of their small circles of committed fans.

Malia is called a rapist, a slut, and idiot, a child, abusive, and selfish. All because she was dating the PFWB. In canon, we’re shown that Malia is loyal to a fault. She grew from the first episode of season four to a character who, in season five, is shown to care desperately about her friends. She’s blunt, yes. And unfortunately, she learned some of her people skills from the resident white asshole extraordinaire.

Strip away the Stiles influence, she’s an incredibly caring person. Someone who was feral for years and has learned to control those wild impulses because other people matter, and she can’t stand to see another person hurt. And her intelligence? She spent close to DECADE being feral. And yet she’s reacclimated to society, and managed to cram YEARS worth of human education into a 6-9 month period.

Malia, who found Melissa and charged head first at one of the Dread Doctors, creatures whom she knows for a fact are incredibly dangerous, so Melissa can save Scott. Malia who fought past the kanima venom before anyone else and ran to stop Tracy, who broke through Tracy’s night terror and had to watch Tracy be murdered in front of her eyes while she was helpless to stop it. Malia who defied Natalie Martin and left class to go and try to help another student, only to realize she was too late. Malia who now knows her biological mother tried to kill her, and killed her mother and little sister to do it.

And then there’s Lydia. The character who, after Scott, has the most agency issues on the show. Season one ended with her being mauled by Peter, and season two saw her being mentally, emotionally, and physically manipulated and sexually assaulted by Peter, and nobody would clue her in on what was going on. Derek would have killed her without batting an eye, and sent CHILDREN to do his dirty work. Would he have even cared if one of them succeeded and left the house with blue eyes, having called every hunter on the West Coast down on them? Derek who victim blamed her in the beginning of season three when she tried to let bygones be bygones and offered her help to him.

Lydia forgave the rest of the pack after that season of torture, and became so committed to Scott’s cause that even Derek had to acknowledge it. She forgave all of them, and tried to move forward. But she’s also the only one besides Parrish who still doesn’t have a handle on her abilities. Worse, we now know that she had to have had her grandmother in the back of her mind in season two when everything was awful and she had no answers. Now she has Lorraine and Meredith hanging over her head in a different way. Every banshee she knows has destabilized mentally, and yet she’s still committed to Scott, even as she sees walls melting and faces looming out at her and has voices whispering in her head seemingly non-stop.

Yet somehow she’s a slut, a bitch, a whore, selfish, and “not that intelligent.” The last one seems to be recent, and it’s that sort of reaction from people who are tired of seeing another woman being bashed. And it saddens me that Lydia is being taken down instead of the toxic ship culture around Stiles. Canonically we’re shown several examples of Lydia’s intelligence, even if the show forgets which classes she’s taken. And when she, like the rest of the characters, aren’t being shoved aside to have a massive Stiles scene, she figures out quite a bit.

In fact, she’s very capable when she’s NOT working with Stiles. Parrish, Kira, Malia, Scott… And none of these characters yell at her when she’s having trouble interpreting her banshee abilities.

One of my favorite moments in the series involves Malia and Lydia, back in season four, I.E.D. Malia and Lydia were able to unlock another chunk of the deadpool, and we saw both sets of intelligence play marvelously off of each other. Moreover, we saw Lydia letting off her frustrations about her limitations. Malia, instead of becoming angry, recognized Lydia’s outburst for what it was, and followed her. And she found a better way to help.

And then there’s Kira. Whom somehow doesn’t exist or needs to be killed off. Really? Really? How’d Allison’s death work out for you?

Kira is a precious cinnamon roll, and so brave and loyal that it hurts. Berserker!Scott nearly killed her, and she NEVER held it over his head. No, she earned herself a damned tail and knew immediately that Scott wasn’t in control of himself. She warned the others and saved Scott’s life. She’s been there for Malia and Lydia both as a well of support and encouragement. She and her family chose to leave so Kira, having been played with by the Dread Doctors, wouldn’t hurt anyone else. Even as Stilinski Sr. wanted her arrested and brought to justice for something he damned well knew she wasn’t in control of. Something he completely brushed aside when it came to his son, but not anyone else.

Instead of bitter anger, Kira chooses to remove herself from the situation to get better. She puts her personal happiness on the back burner, and ends her relationship with Scott, so she won’t hurt anyone else.

And before there was Kira, there was Allison. Allison who started off innocent and a touch awkward, and was exposed to a world of violence and terror. Who succumbed to her darkest instincts after emotional manipulation at her most vulnerable, and who decided to break that cycle. Who hit rock bottom and made the choice to actively redeem herself and her family, no matter the cost. Who died saving her best friend.

For all the bizarre writing and plotting in the show, the actresses have managed to claw incredible amounts of depth and growth for their characters. Tyler Posey has imbued Scott with a level of positive, healthy masculinity that I have yet to see replicated anywhere else. Even as he seems to be the show’s resident punching bag.

And yet all of these characters are judged through the lens of PFWB Stiles. The static asshole who has moments of blinding loyalty, bookended by selfishness, spite, and codependence. Whose canonical traits are eschewed and replaced with obnoxiously stereotypical uke tropes. And out the other side, the rest of the characters are stuck in ship wars and centered around Stiles as trophy prizes and not characters in their own right.

Teen W*lf, seemingly by accident, managed to give us an entire show full of Xena’s. People who aren’t heroes we hope are out in the world, but the type of heroes we hope who are in us. People who are knocked down, beaten, reach their lowest points, and get back up and run full throttle into being better and making the world better.

For whatever reason, it seems fandom decided to embrace Lex Luthor instead.

Do you think a lot of people condone the Marrish thing because Parrish is a guy? Just imagine Jeff trying to sell the idea that there was nothing inappropriate about Ms. Blake or Ms. Morrell being "intrigued" by Scott/Stiles. I think people would see the situation a lot more clearly if the genders were reversed.

umm yeah... he’s an ‘attractive’ white guy to be exact. Which gets him an automatic pass in the TW fandom.

This is the same fandom that thinks Malia took advantage of Stiles and Jennifer took advantage of Derek. Mind you both relationships are ya know... legal.

My Dash is so emotionally bipolar right now.

I've got Captain Swan fandom swimming in confetti and sunshine over our BTS photos of our bbys in "wedding" attire. And then I've got my Teen Wolf fandom losing their shit over the Sciles fight and then playing the blame game afterwards. Like my heart is so conflicted. I am so happy and excited for Captain Swan this season and yet I'm pretty wrecked over the Sciles fight and the ridiculousness of the fandom atm.
