Here’s some drawings I did recently for an OMORI AU that I made with my sister!
The placeholder name for it as of now is; “THE PLAY”
It’s pretty similar to the main story of OMORI, except with some minor changes here and there. The biggest change overall being how Headspace works.
Basically, instead of Sunny acting as Omori / seeing Headspace through Omori’s eyes―Omori just is Headspace.
Sunny “visits” Omori in White Space.
Omori decides to perform stories to Sunny in order to help him cope with what’s going on in the real world. Showing off elaborate sock puppets and plushies to use as characters.
Everything from taking down Captain Spaceboy, to visiting the Sprout Moles, to lighthearted moments between all of Sunny’s friends―It’s all told through these stories.
So all the elements that happen in-game are performed rather than experienced.
The more that Sunny humors these stories, the more realistic they become.
To the point where instead of sock puppets and plushies, Omori begins to take on the physical form of these characters. Sometimes appearing in multiple places at once to pull off elaborate scenes.
Gradually, Sunny begins to see Omori appear when he wakes up, as well. Following him around almost like a shadow. Seeping into his daily life and almost threatening to take it over.
The deeper that Sunny goes, the worse it gets.
