the thing with twilight is 1. it's a not very subtle mormon propaganda, down to things like blood atonement 2. bella is gentiles, cullens are the promised fullness and bliss, humans can become divine so bella becomes a vampire etc 3. 10% of money its author makes goes to mormon chuch (tithing) 4. that church is using tithing money to "invest" and right now usa’s fifth largest private landowner 5. there's a lot going on with the "teachings", the sheer amount of fundie spin offs like warren jeffs branch or kingston clan 6. the tithing money also goes into hiring lawyers that defend mormon church when sa csa accusations inevitably surface

basically if you support and defend twilight you are doing mormon church a favor. and i don't think you would want that
