As all of her friends rub their eyes, awakening from Diantha comforting them from the nightmare that is her death, the body has been found. It’s on the news in all of the regions, rumors are spreading, and Kalos starts to grieve.

((Getting a little dark in topic here, so we’ll duck under a cut for safety.))

I’ve been going back and forth for a while on whether or not Gawain’s body should be found.

By this point in the timeline, it would be nothing but bones, anyway, and Tom and Elaine have been filtering anything to do with Tempo out of their lives for a few decades, now. It’s a toss up whether they’d even hear or not. The only family who’d really get the news would be Lance, Arthur, Morgan, and Nimune....maybe some of the extended family, if they’re still in communication.

On the other hand, if it remains undiscovered, what does Gawain’s story gain from that? Gawain himself isn’t really invested in finding his body (and doesn’t think it can be found), so it’s not a mystery that can be worked towards.

Should I be doing more with that mystery? Would it be better to introduce closure, for all characters involved? Or should I just leave things as they are??

(Nightmare) It's Omnis - dead and gone, in a small puddle of their own blood. There's signs of a desperate struggle - but the two marks in their neck tell that they lost. There's no coming back from losing all their blood, this time.

She screams, tears streaming down her face as she runs towards them, kneeling down at their side. The two marks- no, it can't have been her, right? She wouldn't- she'd control it- They have to be alright! It's just going to take them a while- right? She leans over them, sobbing into their chest, begging for them to heal.

What would she do without them?

She shoots up right in her bed, breathing heavily and tears running down her cheeks. Immediatly she reaches for her phone. It was probably just a nightmare, but she has to be sure-
