You wish you weren’t here, but here you are. Standing stupidly in front of Daryl’s grey tent, lousy bulky backpack in arms and barely dressed.

You’ve been Beth’s best friend for a while now. You worked as a farm hand, and the blonde is your type of gal. So when shit went loose, you started to bunk up in Beth’s room. The two of you had it pretty sweet until Beth started telling you her plans.

Naturally, you didn’t mention it to anyone. It wasn’t your business. You especially didn’t tell anyone after she attempted, granted that you were now supposed to keep an eye on her.

Except last night, Beth had talked you into it. The idea wasn’t half bad, and who wants to live in a zombie world anyway? The both of you had then created a plan for a joint suicide, they can’t keep both of you from committing, right?

Unfortunately for you and your blonde bestie, Maggie has overheard the whole thing and was furious at you for encouraging this behavior from her sister. The whole day Maggie tried to come up with a plan to keep this from flourishing until she finally landed on just kicking you out of Beth’s room.

You were offered the living room but it felt weird with Lori and Carl sleeping in there, so you decided to look elsewhere.

Elsewhere is here. On the outskirts of the camp. You and Daryl get along fairly well, considering your quiet demeanors. While you didn’t know him too well, you knew him best out of all the new outsiders.

The moon shines bright in the midnight mauve sky while the breeze runs against your almost bare body, your only protection being a pair of thin white shorts and a loose graphic tee. Holding your bag of belongings in one hand, you gently knock on the flap of his tent.

“Hey Daryl… it’s me…” You groan, cheeks heating up.

You hear a light groan and a sharp unzipping noise, revealing the sleepy hunter.

“Hm? It’s cold out girlie, what are yer doing out here,” Daryl eyes you up and down and quirks an eyebrow, “…like this?”

You grimace and clutch your bag closer as you explain the situation, hoping he’ll be understanding.

“Shit. Yer tryna kill yourself too?”

You let out a meek giggle, “Not if you let me in…”

Daryl softly grunts and moves out of the way, inviting you in. There are a few blankets on the floor and his crossbow in the corner. The whole place is cramped, barely fitting the two of you as he lies back down on the sprawled sheets.

You stuff your bag down in the corner and then awkwardly lay down next to him. The tent is only really built for one person, as the two of you are uncomfortably lying side by side.

You mutter a few apologies as you get comfortable. He ends up draping an arm over you with your face against his chest.

Every time you move, the delicate lace of your shorts rides up, making you struggle to pull it down. You softly press your face into his chest, attempting to pull them down and hide the soft curve of your ass for a final time.

Daryl grunts at you to shut up and stop squirming before reaching over you and hooking his bulky fingers under your shorts. His knuckles make contact with your bare skin, causing your thighs to squeeze with heat. He pulls the fabric of your shorts down, then rests his heavy hand on your waist.

You whisper a quick thank you and sorry before settling into a soft slumber.

When you finally blink your eyes open, the space next to you is empty. You raise into a seated position and reach for your bag. You pull out a pair of jeans and slip them over your shorts. While exiting the tent you make eye contact with Daryl, who’s tinkering with his motorcycle.

“Hey,” You sheepishly smile at him, “What’s up?”

He mumbles, “Nun much… You staying here again tonight?”

You pause and take a moment to think, but you know Maggie wouldn’t allow you to stay the night with Beth.

“Yeah, if you don’t mind.”

He nods in response. You notice in the distance that most of the group is huddled over the fire, most likely cooking breakfast.

You inquire, “Did you eat?”

He shakes his head, “Not yet.”

You start making your way over the fire, waving to Carol as you approach.

“Hey.” You greet her warmly, picking up two plates.

She smirks at you while serving the two plates with some eggs and mystery meat, “Stayed the night with Mr. Hunter, huh?”

“Hah… I guess,” Your chin dips in embarrassment and you let out a small giggle,

Once she’s done, you’re given a teasing pat on the shoulder. You playfully roll your eyes and make your way back to Daryl.

“Here,” You smile at him and extend the plate, “How’d you sleep?”

He takes the plate, “Thanks, slept ight.”
