"Oh, I don't doubt that, dear Severus. I just can't see your wife being nothing but as stuck up and bitter as you are, Severus." The man smiled to Snape

"On the contrary, she is everything but bitter." He said lowly, not amused but also not bothered by the conclusion. Many believed his wife was like him. But the fact that she wasn't at all like him, is what made him fall for her. "She is sweet. And kind, and caring. She's soft spoken, but she also has a mouth on her and will not hesitate to put you where you belong."

"You're overexplaining, Severus, you never do that."

"She's my favorite topic." He didn't even blink as those words left his mouth

"It's confusing."

"She's worth it."

Glenn chuckled as what Daryl was working on came into view. "I was expecting to see you in here working on your bike. Instead you're... pressing flowers?" Carol was beside Glenn and peered down at what was laid out on the workbench.

"Oh, I know who this is for," she said, smiling broadly.

"Shut up," Daryl growled, but he placed another sheet of paper over the flowers he'd just laid out and set his heavy toolbox on top of it.

"So, what are they?" Glenn asked.

"Uhh—bookmarks, hopefully..." Daryl drawled uncertainly. "She's been kinda down lately, ya know? Just... she told me once violets are her favorite flower and... she's always readin' like 3 books so I figured..." he trailed off uncertainly.

"You better be careful," Carol warned him. He gave her a questioning look. "Someday you'll do something cute in public and ruin your entire reputation."

Glenn laughed, but Daryl shot her a sour look. Carol smiled. "She'll love it."

Why am I seeing so many people complaining about smut writers/fanfic writers who write mostly/only smut, on tumblr of all places??? Like??? I’m not sorry, but as a fanfic writer myself, someone who’s not getting paid to write and is literally doing it for myself because I like writing what I want to write, if you’re gonna complain about what other people are writing then literally go write it yourself. You’re fully capable of sitting down at your computer and churning out the writing you want to see more of. I encourage that kind of creativity! Instead of complaining and spreading negativity, go make the content you’re looking for!

Ghost has been gone for months...

Six months, to be exact.

When he finally gets home it's late at night, well over midnight. All the lights are off, no sound coming from anywhere.

He wonders if you've started moving on. Wonders if your feelings have started fading.

He slips his shoes off and makes his way into your shared bedroom. You're sound asleep in your bed, on his side even though his scent has long since left those sheets.

He undresses and slides in beside you, gentle not to wake you. His head hits the pillow and he sighs as your familiar scent enters his nostrils.

He drapes an arm around you and freezes when his hand lands on your belly.

Your very swollen belly. And he feels a kick right back against his palm.

"Welcome home, Si."

He was sitting beside you on the couch, a stack of bolts in front of him that all needed new fletching, but he was still as stone. He seemed to be in deep thought about something. He looked up at the sound of your voice and met your questioning gaze. "Huh? Oh. Nah, I was just thinkin'—um... ya remember when the basement flooded after that storm and my shit was all soakin' wet down there?"

You marked the page in your book and closed it. "Mhm... And I wouldn't let you sleep on the couch and insisted you take the other side of my bed?" you said, with a soft smile.

"Mhm," Daryl hummed, ducking his head to stare down at his hands. "Yeah."

"What about it?" you asked.

"I was just thinkin'—I think tha's the last night of good sleep I had," he admitted, feeling his face flushing. He kept his eyes downturned in hopes you wouldn't notice.

"Daryl, that was months ago," you said.

He rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. "Yeah. I—I think I just sleep better in yer bed... ya know, with—with ya there," he admitted, his stomach churning with nerves.

"Oh," you said. "Is is about my bed or—or about me?" you asked nervously. Daryl hummed an indistinguishable response. You discarded your book on the side table and surprised him by reaching over and taking his hand. You climbed to your feet and gave him an expectant look, lacing your fingers with his and tugging gently.

"What are ya doin'?"

"We're going upstairs to my room right now to take a nap. I can't believe you're just admitting this to me now. We could have both been sleeping better this whole time!" you replied, smiling at him.

"Huh?"

"Daryl, I always sleep better beside you."
