Pyketh allowed a small smile as her apprentice cut down the last of the opponents that Pyketh had set against her, the glowing, sanguine blade in her hands slicing cleanly through their flesh. Aayla was strong in the Force--not as strong as she was, of course, but then that was mostly due to circumstance rather than raw talent. The Rutian had flowered into a promising Sith, but then, she couldn’t let her know that. It would make her overconfident, let her grow sloppy.
And that was the quickest way to end up dead.
“Apprentice. What is the code you have sworn to follow?” she asked, her tone harsh and sudden as she stepped out of the shadows.
