Still disturbed by Twilight getting an animated remake. I think My Babysitter's A Vampire should get an animated remake instead. Or both could exist and I could pretend that the Twilight 1 doesn't. Either way I would 100% watch an animated reboot of MBAV. Maybe it would even continue longer than the original and expand the story and the lore more.
Frankenstein’s monster should’ve gotten the teen romance treatment, not vampires.
In the original text he is described as “like an Adonis”, he canonically has daddy issues, and due to said daddy issues his main motivation is his yearning for someone he can call a companion. He’s practically begging for an angst ridden romance plot.
Meanwhile vampires didn’t even pass the harkness test for hundreds of years and have an icky association with the bourgeoise. Just not good partner material.
so my parents are making me take a walk around the neighborhood everyday because online school has been messing with my mental health
i may catch on fire...

-mutters over and over again to myself- i will not let twilight ruin vampires for me. i will not let twilight ruin vampires for me.
Can I just mention that Jake imprinting on Renesmee was not as terrible as ya'll make it out to be. Was it unexpected? Oh yeah. But it's not all that bad. It makes sense in a weird way if you think about it because Jake and Bella have been sort of tied together throughout the series and his Imprint not only gives him happiness, but it keeps his friendship with Bella from deteriorating after she becomes a vampire.
Also, yes I do think that Renesmee and Jake will eventually fall in love. Why? In New Moon (could have been Eclipse, but I'm pretty sure it was New Moon), when Jake is telling Bella about Imprints, he says that most of the time the imprint does fall for her wolf because it's hard to resist the levels of commitment and love that her wolf holds for her.
Obviously, Jake and Renesmee aren't going to just magically be in love overnight. I think it would rationally take some time. She'll age quickly, yes. But that doesn't mean her feelings will change overnight. And Jake will continue to be whatever she needs him to be.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course. I just feel like people shit on Jake and Renesmee a lot when it has potential to go really great places.
Every time someone calls Edward romantic, a stalker claims his prey.
Every time someone claims that there’s nothing wrong with the werewolves’ lack of self-control, a domestic abuser gets away with beating their significant other.
Every time someone tries to defend “imprinting”, a pedophile gets their way.
Twilight should have never been written.
Don’t get this the wrong way, I know many people like it, but Riverdale is the Twilight of TV series
