Photo:twinkind.com

I Always Wanted To Be a Barbie
When I was a kid, I thought it would be so cool to have a Barbie that looked like me - at that time the Olsen twins were available on shelves:
What 11 year old girl wouldn't want to be one of these? Well, my time has come!
TwinKind has taken 360 degree scanning and 3D printing to bring you a super scary look-a-like miniature figurine of yourself; the resemblance is so detailed, it will actually print the wrinkles in your shirt (except for silk, tulle, and chiffon, as it could mess-up the scanning software).
There are 5 steps simple steps to getting your very own "mini me:"
Schedule an appointment & arrive on time.
Get scanned by a full 3D scanner & and leave.
Post production then makes any edits needed so the print looks super real.
Shrunken you is then printed from the 3D printer (IT'S ALIVE!)
Finally, mini-you is shipped straight to your door step.
BAM! And just like that, you and I can be Barbies! - except it's gonna cost about $300, instead of regular Barbie costing somewhere between $15 - $40 bucks.
I bet Barbie feels pretty cheap now, selling herself for so little...
On a side note, it kind of makes me wonder how long it will take for some ad agency to do an insanely cool, and creative campaign with these.
Anyways, pretty cool how a childhood dream can finally come true.
