Watercolour painting Red Poppies

Progress steps from one of the VegasPete screenshot redraws I did. Partly to prove that, yes, they’re drawings, but also to show just how HILARIOUS the first step looks. I mean, you can still see what’s going on, but the blocky colours look RIDICULOUS.
And yes, I’m one of those who prefer to finish drawing one area completely before moving on to the next, instead of slowly building up the piece a little at a time. Which makes for some pretty funny WIP shots.
REALISM INTENSIFIES.
Hey I saw your old art of DP and I love how you drew the skin of the charecters, it looks so shiny and soft. Can I ask you what brush did you use for that?
Hi! I noticed a bunch of notes from my old DP art xD And, well, about the soft skin:
I used to work on Paint Tool SAI, and you see... I never changed the brushes. I always used the standard ones. So, in this case, the basic water brush. Not the brush brush! The water brush!
I use the brush brush for painting tho, stuff like this:
with some touch of water for blending. And that's it
I don’t have a Twitter but I do have Tumblr!
Some fanart to show my appreciation for these lovely humans helping to donate money to Save the Children
Try to tune in today so that you can donate (or tell others to donate) so they can hit the goal of $100,000! $300,000!
