A Long Time Coming
Hey everyone!
So technically I’m about.... three months late with this post. I had meant to post it shortly after @strandrichard-archive made their farewell announcement, but I honestly had drafted this so many time in my mind’s eye I forgot to write the dang thing.
But anywho, to the point. Like Azzy, I made the hard decision to close this blog for good, and will soon be adding the “archive” to the url as well to make it official. It was not an easy choice in large part because I truly have had such a wonderful time writing Alex and crafting the stories that we have made here, and I have so enjoyed interacting with all of you through the many asks and ideas you all have sent.
I was given the opportunity to run this blog after it’s creation, and I can honestly say I am still incredibly thankful I agreed to do it. It has been truly wonderful, has challenged my writing, and made me think about narrative in new and creative ways. It was a labour of love for me, but as you well know, life has been hectic these last few years, 2020 included. I graduated with my Bachelor’s straight into a pandemic, and that plus another boatload of other things have taken the motivation and focus that I would have needed to maintain this blog, and I didn’t feel it fair to leave it open, hanging, and unfinished.
Thank you all so much again for this little niche within this fandom community, and thank you as well for letting me share my stories. It’s been an honor.
