It’s 09/13, so I’m finally allowed to share the wonderful cover of Mark Of The Empress! It’s so gorgeous, I have no words for it. Let’s all enter the grand hall of The Empire, maybe we’ll get a chance to meet Empress Alexstrayna, or her predecessor.
Mark Of The Empress is the sequel to Two Thousand Years (The Empire Saga)
Author: M. Dalto
Publisher: The Parliament House Press
To be published on 11/12!
The cover of the prequel was revamped as well to fit the look of its sequel. (To my mind, a very necessary deed because the original book cover didn’t serve the actual charm of the story.) Therefore, here it is:
Two Thousand Years (The Empire Saga #1)
Both covers are so pretty and I love the Jane Austen and Outlander vibes they give off~
[Verse 1]
In the beginning
There was the cold and the night
Prophets and angels gave us the fire and the light
Man was triumphant
Armed with the faith and the will
That even the darkest ages couldn't kill
Too many kingdoms
Too many flags on the field
So many battles, so many wounds to be healed
Time is relentless
Only true love perseveres
It's been a long time and now I'm with you
After two thousand years
[Verse 2]
This is our moment
Here at the crossroads of time
We hope our children carry our dreams down the line
They are the vintage
What kind of life will they live?
Is this a curse or a blessing that we give?
Sometimes I wonder
Why are we so blind to fate?
Without compassion, there can be no end to hate
No end to sorrow
Caused by the same endless fears
Why can't we learn from all we've been through
After two thousand years?
[Verse 3]
There will be miracles
After the last war is won
Science and poetry ruling the new world to come
Prophets and angels
Gave us the power to see
What an amazing future there will be
And in the evening
After the fire and the light
One thing is certain: Nothing can hold back the night
Time is relentless
And as the past disappears
We're on the verge of all things new
We are two thousand years
He has nothing left to lose ... 🥺🥺 I believe Lexan is not that bad as it seems. Yes, he did terrible things but if you’d let me, I could give a billion explanations to justify his behavior.
Character animatic for Sarayna’s Fate, novella of the Empire Saga by M. Dalto

** I was provided a free eArc by the author in exchange for my honest opinion **
Let me be clear here, I love this series a loooot! And I’m always so very eager and impatient to read the next installment! Nonetheless, I can’t give this more than 3 stars. But that’s a personal thing. Sarayna’s Fate — surprise surprise — is written from Sarayna’s POV and she simply doesn’t serve to entertain me as much as others do. I mean it was a great idea by the author to have us readers follow Sara to the Otherrealm, searching for her King Emperor. It’s just me who would have preferred to stay with Reylor, or switch to Lexan.
So, in this novella Sara leaves the Empire to find her King Emperor and I must say whom she finds kept me intrigued. At first I found him very interesting and fresh and I liked the fact how he was so totally different from Treyan. I wouldn’t have liked it if he was another Prince Charming. Reading about the couple made me rush through the novella; it was cute and stuff but I wished for some things to happen. Luckily Lexan happened and I was overjoyed that he had an appearance at all! It’s so easy to make me happy. And break my heart...
Let’s be honest, I want a story to entertain me and blow me away. And I was blown, exactly three times. Once I wanted to rage and slap a character, once I cried in happiness, once I was speechless like I would never have expected this!
Also, can I remark how brilliantly the author ends each installment? Because she does!
I can’t await the next book, sometime in fall or so.
