I love Two-Boots so much he's so funny and adorable

BUT he's also a super interesting character, especially in the current political climate. It really feels like they wanted to remind some people that yes, Star Wars IS political.

He's labelled as just doing what he was programmed to do. Yk, "just doing his job". This is how ICE agents, cops, the nazis, SO many people are labelled. But it's also made clear that he has a choice whether he follows that programming. He says he's supposed to report Maul to the Empire, but Lawson doesn't want him to so he doesn't.

Definitely a reminder that all those people "just doing their jobs" still have a choice.

Also he accomplished getting these 3 to agree on something. Look how they're looking at him.

Idk why but this interaction was just really lovely. I always appreciate when Star Wars makes an effort to 'humanize' its droid characters.

“This is a police procedural. A gritty, grounded crime book. The stage is Janix, a shadow-soaked, neon-lit city controlled by crime syndicates. Lawson used to be a bounty hunter. Now he's a cop and a single dad doing the best he can in a lawless territory. He’s a good man who pushes limits and breaks rules. And he's joined by his partner, a droid named Two-Boots, who is loyal, warm, and a bit of a stickler."
