These are some process shots of the two-part mold I'm making for these hands! The hands will be cast in silicone so I'm going to make the mold out of plaster (since plaster and silicone don't stick to each other) Since the mold is not flexible. In these images, I'm preparing the hands for one side of the mold to be created on top of them. I'm putting water-based clay along the bottom of the hand, making sure that i'm submerging exactly half the hand in clay do that once the mold is made, it can easily separate!
