Hi rise fans!! I just want to warn everyone about and upcoming fanzine and the people running it.
The zine itself is titled “together We Rise” with a Twitter handle by the same name. And though this particular zine isn’t accepting it, the people running it are planning on making a whole other zine specifically for tc*st, and are letting tc*sters submit art to Together We Rise under the guise of “togetherness”. Here’s the proof directly in their tweets:
Inc*st, and tc*st should NEVER under ANY circumstances be supported or encouraged, even under the disguise of “togetherness” and it disgusts me that people are trying to say that not only do they support tc*stars but plan on making a zine specifically for that. This is not okay.
If you or anyone you know have submitted to this zine without knowing this (giving the benefit of the doubt that you just didn’t see the tc*st question in the application) you are not a bad person, because how could you have known? Especially when the people making this are marketing under “peace and togetherness”. Inc*st and tc*st are not peace. If you don’t tolerate things like this, would you tolerate sitting around a table eating crackers with people who do? With people who actively participate in it even?
This is a long post, but once again a warning. I don’t believe we should be supporting this zine or the people running it. Spread this around if you can, I’ll be tagging it #boycottTWR in case any of you want to make your own post about it, because this is not a good thing.
