Scroll by quick if you can't stand spiders! I usually can't stand spiders. But some of you might remember my little predicament in mid or late November when I was cleaning up my Halloween decorations. An odd spider with black and orange striped legs had set up her egg sack behind my gravestone. I tried to shoo her away and remove the egg sack, but she was stubborn and her cradle was STRONG. Having really noticeably upset her, I started feeling awful about myself. I put the gravestone back against the wall and left it there. Every now and then I'd peek. She and the egg sack would still be there. A few months ago she was gone... probably died, dried up, and blown away in a storm. Today as I left for my neurology appointment, I saw the babies. Her babies lived! I hadn't killed them! I feel better. I'm going to give them a few days then see if I can move them into the back yard where they'll be safer. Sorry for upsetting you, Mama Spider.
