Imagining Idia falling in love with you. Falling in love with your smile and laughter. Falling in love your frown or pouting expression. At seeing your eyes light up with excitement when you talk about your passions to him. Falling in love with the way you give your full attention to him when he speaks. Keeping up with his ramblings and never being afraid to ask him questions about his projects. Idia falling in love with the little things about you, all the little details, everything that screams you.

He falls in love with you because of the life you bring to the world around you.

Like Hades with Persephone, he the caretaker of the underworld can't help but be drawn to you. The beacon of light and warm, like a beautiful peaceful meadow he can take refuge in from the world. Just you being there, by his side, comforting and loving, is more than his heart can take. But Idia he's a selfish man and he wishes to stay by your side, just as you wish to do the same. The very definition of the undying love story of the god of death and the goddess of life.

i'm a sucker for the sentient nrc dorms theory, so have a few situations (featuring inspirations from a conversation with @riddle-peakhearts)

heartslabyul tripping a student on the stairs while they're skipping chores and riddle is after them

savanaclaw blowing sand/dirt into someone's (read: lilia's) eyes

pomefiore using a gentle breeze to fix someone's hair or clothes

ignihyde fixing a game-breaking glitch in someone's game

diasomnia playing chess with its students

octavinelle subtly moving something that would've tripped a lounge waiter with a heavy tray

scarabia subtly pointing a student towards the right direction in the textbook they're using

but also more... uncanny things

the lights in ignihyde slowly pulsing, like a heartbeat, or breathing

random howls or roars in savanaclaw despite none of its students making such noises at the moment

the rose maze in heartslabyul rearranging itself, leading countless students to get lost despite swearing that they know the layout

mirrors in pomefiore sometimes reflecting movement that those beholding them never made, or momentarily reflecting people that aren't present at all

music echoing through the halls of scarabia with no true source

human, and only human, students of octavinelle swearing that they hear singing coming from outside

random alluring lights and humming in diasomnia, tempting students to the high spires of the dorm or the depths of the basement

ace and sebek's brothers always answer their confused calls with long stories of their own from their time at nrc. the teachers affirm the oddity of it all. but after a few months of adjusting, nobody really questions it. housewardens will warn their freshman of what and where to avoid, will teach their successor about the ins and outs of the dorm and its behavior, but it's never really properly addressed and barely ever acknowledged. some dorms (read: heartslabyul) are more obvious than others, but all of them have a degree of life that some students find incredibly discomforting.

Had a very wholesome idea:

One night at NRC it’s very chilly. Unfortunately for Yuu, ramshackle has no heating, and they don’t have many blankets. So Yuu, half jokingly sends a text to the freshmen group chat.

“Gotta remember to buy some blankets from Sam’s shop tomorrow, it’s cold and Grim is the only reason I ain’t freezing.”

Unknowingly for Yuu, this leads to them getting a whole closet full of blankets.

Heartslaybul

Ace and Deuce would defiantly bring some over after seeing that text. Trey, Cater, and Riddle making them bring over some treats too.

Savanaclaw

Jack and Ruggie would show up with some animal print blankets. Ruggie bragging that Leona paid for it.

Octavinelle

The trio shows up with some blankets. Despite not being in the freshmen group chat they got the information out of someone. Two of the blankets are shrimp and mushroom themed. Azul would probably say Yuu owes him a favor despite not being asked.

Scarabia

Kalim saw the Octatrio buy some and found out the reason. So he bought way too many that are really expensive and Jamil could not stop him.

Pomefiore

Epel brought a quilt. The ones in his room look SO COZY and he would let Yuu borrow one till his grandma can make Yuu their own. Vil made him bring some products for dry skin cause at least for me the cold makes my skin so dry.

Ignihyde

Ortho brought some over. A weighted blanket and one of those wearable jacket blanket things. Idia defiantly owns one.

Diasomnia

Malleus can’t let his poor human friend freeze. So that group brought plenty. Magically enchanted to keep you at the most comfortable temperature.

So now Yuu and Grim have like 50 blankets
