Scene: a charity shop in Sheffield, England

Date: 7 October 2018

Time: late morning

Shop owner: (grumbling to self)

Shop employee: Oi boss, somethin' wrong?

Owner: Oh it's just...I mean, we're runnin' out of space here, a lotta the clothes aren't movin', and we're just gettin' more an' more in, but it's stuff nobody's gonna buy. I mean, look at this lot from this mornin'!

(dumps large tote of assorted clothes onto table)

I mean...look at this jacket. Is- Is that light grey or light blue? I can't tell.

Employee: Hang on, maybe if ya bring it into the light a bit...

(holds jacket up to light)

...um, nope, didn't help, I can't tell either.

Owner: Right, see? Or how 'bout these blue trousers.

Employee: I think those are culottes...no wait, are they? They're kinda too long for that.

Owner: An' they're also too short for trousers. Yeah, ridiculous.

Employee: Ooh, now this shirt with the rainbow pattern's not bad.

Owner (looking at shirt): Oi, that's not a rainbow pattern that's just, I dunno, stripes.

Employee: Oh yeah, well, whatever then.

Owner: Oh God, check these out!

(holds up item in front of employee's face)

Employee: Mustard yellow braces?! God they're ugly.

Owner: Right, buncha weird clothes that are gonna lay 'round here for who knows how long that nobody's gonna buy. Just fuckin' great.

Later that day

Employee: Oi boss you're not gonna believe this...

I rewatched the woman who fell to earth and the biggest hypocrisy is when 13 says she won't go to a&e because she won't go anywhere that only has initials but she literally lives in a TARDIS

i forgot that there was just a giant three parter in the middle of season 10

it’s very in character for the doc to just create this entire impossible choice that results in the invasion of earth just bc they don’t want to talk about feelings on their personal limitations with someone

bill is so pure though i love her

that scene where bill thinks the doctor has turned is a++++ mackie’s acting is just off the charts i remembered very little about this episode but i remembered THAT

i love bill being like why the fuck are you keeping a woman in a vault and missy being like thank you

god just the CLARITY of this beginning like i don’t know what else to call it 

she just drops through the ceiling as the doctor who theme is playing and i’m already crying bc that’s my doctor!!!!

this goes without saying but god walsh’s comedic timing man

“all of this is new and new can be scary” didn’t catch that before but again this show LITERALLY TAKES YOU BY THE HAND AND SAYS I’M DIFFERENT NOW AND IT’S OKAY

also catch me SOBBING over the fact that she keeps apologizing to everyone for things out of her control 

also her making her own sonic will never not be She Did That

i never realized that she picks up a reusable bag and starts filling it with stuff and carries it around for the rest of the episode idk why that’s just funny to me

me: the doc literally doesn’t know what else to do with villains

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again but 13 in 12′s suit jacket does Things to me

‘i’m the doctor’ and i’m screaming

the doc’s reaction to grace is the smallest, saddest thing ever it’s just this tiny little guilty brow furrow and head tilt and i’m crying again

i have feelings on chibs writing again mostly how he does not hand wave emotions away after they’ve served their purpose in a particular story

like grace straight up dies in this episode and so we have two characters going away with the doc who are carrying around this immense and fresh grief that isn’t always Loud but also is always There

and his writing just gets to me bc he doesn’t shy away like if some thing is tough then it’s Tough and it doesn’t stop being that way overnight

like i’ve said before his writing isn’t as Fast and frenetic as previous seasons but, to me, to think that means his episodes are Less is just....wrong...

and then she just kidnaps them into space
