Curi Curi [Tsaqu Waiãpi] - River Phoenix

The brazilian singer, Milton Nascimento, made a trip through amazon and met indigenous tribes that originated his album, Txai (1990). River was invited to participate by doing a speech in this track.

The album focus on the Yanomamis (meaning "human beings"), a large tribe that habitates Brazil and Venezuela. In 1987 to 1992, this people suffered with a large number of deaths by violence and diseases brought by the gold-diggers invading their lands after the discovery of mineral deposits. This episode is known as "The Haximu massacre."
