You arrive at the little group breakfast with your fins down and tail waving, submissive and hopefully harmless as can be. Most of your scaled lower half is hidden with a pair of loose sweatpants, but your tail and little paws were still visible. You werent, perhaps, the chattiest, but you did get to meet that Moth guy in person (hes cool and fluffy) and maybe (hopefully) helped put the others minds to rest as well.

im not going to chase you out of your bed and i am sort of freeloading in your place so anyways eventually youre going to have to like clear out the entire next building if you keep expanding the garden you realize and yeah of course i just couldnt invite you because you were gone until literally just now
