It wasn't like she had meant to leave her biking helmet up there. She didn't even remember coming up there, if that was any indication of how drunk she had been when she'd climbed up to the roof of whatever warehouse, store place she was standing across from. Her eyes were narrowed on the thin ledge and the even thinner drain pipe attached to it. Her mind worked to connect the dots as quickly as possible. If she could find her way up to a window sill, she could pull herself up to the ledge, then further up the roof. It would be dangerous, but what part of the brunette's life wasn't? Looking at the moonlight glinting off the helmet's polished visor, she yanked her hair up in a messy ponytail, already running into a head start.
Nimble and strangely graceful once in her concentrated zone, she climbed up the side of the house, using both her fingers and feet for balance, only focused on one thing: Getting up there. Soon, she had scaled the sides of the empty house, up to the window, then slowly, with sweat peaking at her brow bone, she had lifted herself up and over onto the dust covered surface of the roof.
"Hell yes!" Exclaiming, overly excited, Arriane ran to her helmet which she soon cradled to her chest, kissing it dramatically. "Didn't think I'd see you ever again, baby."
