it's really, really funny to me how some thiam fanfics give liam an older sister and pair her with tara. I even get to see them pairing up at each other's weddings like a beautiful happy family

A guardian dragon of the Mirror Lake. Legends say the moon is reflected so perfectly in its surface, you could steal the moon for yourself. The moon goddess appointed the dragon to guard her perfect mirror, (a gift from the goddess of fresh water and purity) as werewolves and various others seek to take her from her heavenly perch.

I recognize Mainspring's changeling design. (I think.) Isn't that Tyan/Tyana?

Yep.

I'll give the basic gist of mainspring's story, how be became a changeling. But a lot of details are sadly lost so it might not make as much sense as it was supposed to.

He has always felt a lack of love and empathy, but his boundless curiosity and need for control made him start experimenting on finding ways to feel emotions. He developed a small creature that could give the faintest feelings of love to others, but it only encouraged these feelings to feed on it.

He continues trying to develop this creature, and creates changelings. They feed on love more aggressively so at least he's found a way to pinpoint the emotion.

Then he makes a strain that's contagious, still not mastering how to get it to work properly.

The most dangerous strain mutates over time, one that acts as a parasite that devours the pony's love and their insides as it eventually pops off their head, with their memories and personality still barely in tact. This is a strain that is around at the end of time.

These are then used as the Toclofane by Banana who can control them with the queen's pheromone he developed

Then as Missy he makes it so the dead can be converted into changelings as a 'gift' to the Doctor (Anything Cybermen is basically changelings here)

And finally he develops a strain that turns him into a changeling Queen, able to control ALL strains of changeling and able to feel empathy and love by the ability to taste emotions. Tyan/a tries to fix what they've damaged with changelings, and tries to be a genuinely good pony.
