It's that time again. Here's a little snippet of something I'm working on for codywanweek 2024.
“We don’t know what is happening, yet.” Obi-wan said, stepping in. “Sure we do. Someone is a traitor and a murderer.” Boil said. Cody made a sharp motion at him, the angry ‘halt’ visible to everyone in the room. Everyone shifted, spines straightening. Boil’s mouth better have shut behind that visor.

Summary:
Cody is the son of Jango Fett, leader of the Mando’ade, one of the largest crime families in Coruscant City. One day, he will take on his father’s mantle and run their successful crime empire. That is if the Jedi don’t take them out first. After all, the Jedi were there first and with decades of bad blood, it’s a surprise they haven’t both killed each other off.
Ben to his friends, Obi-wan to his family, wants nothing to do with his family’s business. He just wants to sell coffee, live his life watching his little siblings grow up, and fall in love with a handsome man, Kote, as glorious as his name. That is until it all implodes and suddenly Ben is set to become the next family head and the only path to peace is marriage to the heir of the Mando'ade.

So this week is the busiest week ever at my job, reliably, every year lol, so I'm going to blame that for the reason I only got two fics completed in time to post for @codywanweek. Here is the second story written for day 7. I used the prompts: timeline shenanigans, faked death, and dancing.
